Jaws Turns 38

I remember reading the book first and being somewhat let down by the movie but there's no way they could have squeezed it all in. The scariest part for me was when that head rolled out of the bottom of the boat. Everyone in the entire theatre screamed and jumped out of their seats all at the same time.

"You're gonna need a bigger boat...."

I was a 16 year old surfer living in Vah Beach
with a driver's license (finally) that summer.
Didn't stop me from going in the water
but I sure as hell had it in the back of my mind
all - summer - long .....

I remember seeing Bruce (that was the mechanical sharks name) hanging out of the back of an 18 wheeler when they were filming it on The Vineyard that summer. My Grandmother claims she was an extra in the beach scene with the red striped cabanas where the kid gets eaten and that is left is his raft floating in the water, but I've never seen her. Everybody I have ever met who has ever been to the Vineyard over the age of 45 has been in that movie. Everyone. Atleast that is what they claim.

That's what happens when you drink martinis that are stirred, not shaken.

I was 12 years old when I saw this movie with my Mom and brother.
It freaked my mom out but I loved it and still do.
