How awful, 19 firefighters killed when they were trapped by a wild fire in Arizona. Average age was 22. :(

Unspeakably sad. And flights of angels sing them to their rest. Poor, poor, babies.

Very sad indeed. I can't imagine what the firefighter family is going through.

Forget about Superman, Spiderman, Ironman, or any of the others.  THESE people, and the others like them, are the real super-heroes.

I come from a Bush (Forest) Fire Fighter background. I was dumbfounded to hear of such a number.

Bush fire fighting is inherently dangerous. All who take on the job know the risks.

It still doesn't make it any easier.

My thoughts go to their comrades, families and communities. The entire brotherhood is thinking of you.

Out of the crew of 20, one survived. He was moving the team's
truck when the wind shifted. I can't imagine what he's going through.

The daughter of my daughter's husband (which would be my daughter's
stepdaughter) lives in Arizona. She has written and recorded a tribute
song to the firefighters. I haven't heard it yet. Her and her friends will
be putting on a benefit show for the families in August. She is around
17 or 18 and just graduated from high school. I'll let you know more
when I find out when, where, and what. :pirate:
