150 Years Ago Today

The Battle of Gettysburg. July 1-3, 1863. Turning point of the
Civil War. Alot going on today with re-enactments and such.
Can't get near the place. Been there a few times as it is not far
from me. By the way, it's HAUNTED. Heard too many stories from
strangers as well as relatives to not believe it isn't. :pirate:

I was to attend the 150 with two who spend more time on the Civil War than their present day lives.Motel rooms in town fell thru. The nearest rooms were in Maryland. They will spend hours in traffic jams to be part of the spectacle that will memorialize the turning point of the war.I'm glad I couldn't make it.I would be one more tourist blocking the way to history for those who live for it.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
