No disrespect to the victims, but that's got to be one of the best tv pranks ever. Up there with the Howard stern ones.
How could those buffoons let that slide?

Apparently, someone managed to hack the teleprompter for a San Francisco TV station today...and the anchor read the story live on the air, and with conviction....

KTVU apologizes for racist SF plane crash gaffe

The statement said that an NTSB summer intern, in response to the station’s inquiry, “acted outside the scope of his authority when he erroneously confirmed the names of the flight crew on the aircraft.”

So I'm not the only one who thought that wasn't funny?
I would've never guessed THAT.

When I heard about this I thought it was pathetic, not funny; more like something a 4th-grader might do or say.  I'm certain that heads will roll, and not just the intern's, before this is all said and done.
Although I did, for a brief moment, have a smile when I thought about the obvious mental level of said news reader who never for a moment realized she was being pranked.  She probably answers all those Nigerian emails in her inbox, too.

Heads NEED to roll.
And a few jobs need to be lost.
It's really funny as long as one of OUR realatives wasn't on that plane.
