6 hours to decide

Post by whitepelican »

... which concert to go to this year. Have a free airline ticket that expires tonight so I have to base the decision on posted concerts. Since I live on the West Coast of Canada I do not know about the concerts that are scheduled but not on the Margaritaville site and I don't know which venue has a great tailgate party. So your help is the only way I can make this work.
The clock is ticking; where should we go excluding the April shows. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] PHanks for the help.

NO PRESSURE HERE! Six hours to decide.......Cincy has an all day tailgate which is epic.A Margaritaville for the night before, but I'm heading to Boston.Of the two, only one will have breast sharks.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Never been. Going this year. I would recommend Tampa, but it's in April.

I would cancel the family vaca and come to Great Woods. Or bring them because you can go to Cape Cod the next day! That's how good it is! Yes Cincy is really good. He hasn't announced Dallas yet or I would say go there. He hasn't announced Alpine Valley yet, I would say go there. You can't go to Tampa....that one is amazing! I haven't been to Jones Beach but everybody really has a great time. Tailgate is not your usual one. Bristow is not worth it anymore.......and everyone knows it.

Good luck!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Done Cincy and Alpine, Tampa is tempting but just got back from a holiday.

Great Woods tailgate for me is better than Jones Beach, but Jones Beach is AWESOME. So GW is awesomer than awesome, and Jones Beach is Awesome (to sum up). But I hear there are some really nice people who go to Pittsburgh ... and IF Bubba and Mac do another free on the beach concert in Atlantic City, that is an out of body experience ... But overall GW. Anywhere two or more parrotheads gather, there is funnnnn!

1. Jones Beach is a state park so no "What time do the lots open?" issues. The lots are open at sunrise. And there are parrotheads there, but it's okay if you mosey on over around ten am.
2. Jones Beach is on a beach.
3. LOTS of live music at the tailgate, and the hula girls beauty contest. Of which moi was the chaperone for certain pretty young things. Fun times.
4. Jones Beach = HOG sightings. And I have the pictures to prove it.
5. Pau Hana tike bar at Jones Beach. Margaritas ON TAP! Love those guys!
6. LOTS of awesome friendly peeps to hang with!
