If you've worked in the restaurant business, you shouldn't have any problem finding work.fins2theleft wrote:I've done a bit of everything. But 9 years Restaurant ( Chick-fil-A) and mostly office stuff prior to that.
You may have to actually go there and apply in person, but I would guess you'd find work very quickly. Especially in Florida. The economy there seems to be doing well.
Do whatever until something better comes along.
Hell, you could even go to school part time if you wanted to.
And Florida, like Texas, has no state income tax.
Good luck.

How pricey? I wouldn't think it was much more than here (North Texas) but.....

Not sure about prices, but Kelli, compared to a lot of places, TX is cheap. You might want to start looking at apt rent before you decide.fins2theleft wrote:How pricey? I wouldn't think it was much more than here (North Texas) but.....
But good luck whatever you decide!!!!!

Re: Seeking employment
I've done some looking around. No where really specific of course just browsing. Rent & such I can pretty much control based on location & such. But what about regular everyday stuff? Like groceries, gas etc.?

Re: Seeking employment
. .that really depends on your standard of living . . . but another perk is there is no tax on prepare-able food . . ( most things no tax, but ready to eat and beer, etc. , taxed . . does that make sense ? )fins2theleft wrote:I've done some looking around. No where really specific of course just browsing. . .also be very aware of school districts, they can vary alot . . .
. .still, FL is a great place to live . .

Re: Seeking employment
So basically sounds the same as Texas Cindi. We don't have to pay tax on most foods/drinks from the grocery. I think my biggest concern is finding a job that can match what I make now. Which I know is not going to be easy. I just really think I'd like living in FL, so I want to see what I can do before the idea goes out the window.
