International Meal Company Holdings S.A. Agrees to Set Up a Joint Venture with Margaritaville Enterprises LLC to Enter the US Restaurant Market

International Meal Company Holdings SA announced that it had agreed to set up a joint venture with Margaritaville Enterprises LLC to enter the US restaurant market. Under the terms of the agreement, International Meal Company will buy restaurant assets of Margaritaville located in the US, including a Las Vegas location at the Flamingo hotel and the business of 12 locations operating under the Margaritaville and the LandShark Bar and Grill brand. As part of its partnership with International Meal Company, Margaritaville will continue to operate in the restaurant business and provide branding, development and other services. The two companies have been working together since 2010 and International Meal Company currently owns and operates Margaritaville franchise locations at airports in Puerto Rico and Panama with future locations to open in Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Viracopos, Brazil, in 2014. International Meal Company intends to open additional restaurants with Margaritaville across the country, including airports and other captive market locations. As part of this partnership, International Meal Company will have the exclusive rights to develop and own Margaritaville locations in the US and Latin America. Airports will be International Meal Company's first priority when developing the Margaritaville brand.

I've tried to find out for awhile now if a person could invest in this company. I can't find anything on it. Anyone have any ideas?

Here's a link to their website. I've done some searching here and on the Brazil stock market and can't find any info that suggests the company is publicly owned and traded. You'll also notice when you open the link there is no reference to Investor Relations which is pretty common on company websites if they are traded.

because it makes money, and it gives them (IMC) a chance to import brazilian beef for their operations.
