Margaritaville Pigeon Forge
After several years of rumors and build-up, it appears Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville of the Smokies is about to be a reality. Now we have an official website (http://www.margaritavillepigeonforge.com/), an official Facebook page for the hotel (https://www.facebook.com/margaritavilleislandhotel), and they are currently hiring and booking musical entertainment. The original opening date was announced to be Valentine's Day, but of course that didn't happen. They've said for months that it was now gonna be May, but of course May is over halfway over and the doors haven't opened yet. An online friend in the Smoky Mountain Parrothead Club told me that the last thing they heard was it would open on June 15th. I think I can say for all of us East Tennessee folks...I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Re: Margaritaville Pigeon Forge
Just to update: I did miss opening day because I was on vacation in Hilton Head, but I made it there during their first week. Nothing unusually different from many others, but it does have a bit of local flair to it. The place will be packed out, especially with the location it's in. As I continue to say...nobody makes a frozen margarita like a Margaritaville Café - so delicious!
