If it's being broadcasting through a computer (or a TV), there's always a way. Not being a tech geek, I'm not sure what it is but if there's a signal in the air (or via a cable), there's a way to capture it.

Sunlover did you record the video too. If you did how long until you put it up.

I did capture most of the show, but there was so much buffering throughout the show. Many songs have significant gaps, so they are not usable. I will try to post some of the complete songs that did not have any buffering.

Do you know how it will take you to do that?

Sorry guys, still working on it. I have to go through the capture and see what songs are complete. The video files are very big, so stable playback is not always possible. I have to drop the files into Vegas and trim out the incomplete songs to see what is left.

I wanted to answer a question from a different locked thread that was redirected to this thread. It's slightly different than what is being discussed above. (Hope that's okay with the Mods...)
Volcano5270 wrote:Can someone make the videos into audio files of songs that we dont have copys.
Unless any files have been deleted from the server(s), there are no missing audio files from this tour. I did have to fix a track from the Houston show that had mixed audio from RM, so the replacement audio was taken from the video stream. I discovered it a couple days after the show and posted the fixed file.

I knew you meant taking the audio from the video feed. The concert and Bing & Bong audio from both RM and Marg TV were the same content (other than the BEG instrumental by Robert Greenidge), so I'm not sure what you're missing unless you're talking about preshow content. Marg TV had backstage coverage, interview with Jimmy's guitar tech Dan, etc, while RM had their usual music. I did not capture the Marg TV preshow stuff.

Audio recordings of Jimmy's shows from Radio Margaritaville can be downloaded from jokelben

He might be referring to the sound quality. I find the Margaritaville TV broadcasts to have a wider dynamic range and stereo separation than the Sirius broadcasts. Especially noticeable in my car at high volume. I think the Sirius broadcasts are compressed too much and lose alot of detail. I'll be converting the vid streams to audio for my iPhone whenever possible.

Or maybe he's referring to live versions of songs that aren't currently on the FTP. For example Rivers of Babylon/Manana marks the first soundboard recording from the 92 Recession Recess Tour and the first soundboard version of Rivers of Babylon. For some reason Radio Margaritaville has never replayed a concert from this year.

I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about the recent live shows.

Yes, that can definitely be done. They can be streamed and captured, then the audio can be rendered to an .mp3 file.
