Is this sort of thing going to eventually lead to cellphones being confiscated at the door or is that illegal? In this case, the audience members were given ample warning (repeatedly, no less) yet they continued to ignore the requests of the venue as well as Peter Frampton himself. Meanwhile, if one dares to venture into the comments sections for this story online you'll see no shortage of people blaming Frampton.
Cool! If they had ample warning......oh well!
Just saw Frampton the 31st. He & his band is out there kicking azz. Excellent show! Instrumentally speaking, the whole Band is lighting it up & having fun doing it! Kinda like Fogerty's band
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Standing O for Peter!! Not to say I haven't taken pictures or videos at a concert, but definitely not if they state it's not allowed. But it always takes the wind out of my sails to see a see of cell phone screens between me and the stage, the entire show.
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave
Despite the venues' no camera policy, Frampton allowed fans to take photos as long as they didn't use their flash. He also asked that they not take video. These folks refused to honor either request. According to this firsthand account their asshattery continued even after the show. I've also read that Frampton returned their cellphone though that hasn't been officially confirmed.
Good for Him for doing that. I just can't help but wonder if the idiot will try and sue him for throwing the phone. I would think he wouldn't stand a chance of winning in court . But today you never know.

I work for a theater that has concerts and other shows , most performers allow camera's with no flash , video isn't allowed , these are all announced prior to the show. But , I'm amazed at how many people ignore it. We even have signs posted. We also have a policy that no outside food or beverage is allowed into the theater , some as to do with contracts with beverage companies. but , I can open a Dunkin Donuts with the amount of DD products coming through the door. People will always push the envelope. Glad Frampton did what he did.
