I am hoping the weather is warm as well....I will be leaving for Florida the following Wednesday, so at least if its not warm in TN, it should be warm in Florida....

How many can you hold in your van? 15-20? LOL....there will only be 2 of us....

A Bus, A Van, A Convertible, A Pickup Truck. It's all the same after several Corona's. I may just bring my Rollerblades and call that transportation. Does anyone know if you can get a DUI for rollerblading after Margaritas? I'm just glad to hear there's going to be several Parrotheads at the BWMCI, that it's the closest hotel to AmSouth, and there is a strong possibility of spontaneous events there. Can't wait to meet with everyone. This is actually my first concert outside of St. Louis, though I've seen many there. As far as Wisconsin, that may just be a good idea.

I got a response on the margaritaville.com board that said there is a group of 8 staying at the Best Western..(Your not Bryan are you?)....It would be funny if we think all these people are staying, and it turns out to be the same 6 or 8 people, just using different names on the different message boards....

Actually is was me. I found that chat first then found this one. There will definitely be 8 of us physically. Mentally, I suspect there will be less with my group. You did mention that you heard of a group of 10 or so prior to that. So, by my count, there's at least 18. That's enough to at least start a phlocking. (I'm signed in as Limes & Parrots on both, thought, I think I like this site better).

Oh..Hmm...well here is the posting:

Topic: Nashville Show (25 of 26), Read 11 times
Conf: 2002 Tour
From: Bryan Cissell cissasigx@cs.com
Date: Friday, March 15, 2002 11:53 AM

I would say the chances of a Party in the parking lot are very good. We're staying there also and there are 8 of us in our group. I'm counting on it being that close to AmSouth.

I assume that is a different person...I wish we had more people going, but there are only 2 of us going to Nashville....

My other parrothead friend has class on Saturday, that he can not miss....

And no one else thinks that it is worth it to leave at 5:00pm on Friday,,drive for 3-4 hours, then spend the night in a hotel..Get up Saturday, drive another 3 hours, then go to the concert, go to bed, and have to drive 7-7.5 hours on Sunday....I think it is WELL worth it...Kinda like being back in college and doing the roadtrips LOL.....

This will be my first travel to Buffett. (My second will be to Jazz Fest in May) Though, I've seen him several times in St. Louie. Worth it? Huh... we can tell who the Parrothead is in your group and it will be a pleasure to meet you. It sounds like my group and your group will at least equal 10. However, I booked my room before tickets went on sale, checked the Monday after the ticket sale, and everything was booked. So, I suspect there will be large quantities of Parrothead Activity in the area.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing about the hotel, so it is probably mostly parrotheads...Worth it, yeah its totally worth it...I am not an older time, just 28, but I have been him alot of places: Chicago, Wisconsin, Cinci, Vegas, Florida, Pittsburgh.

I was going to book a trip to see him in Vegas again this May, but I opted to go to California for vacation instead. I figured seeing him in April in Nashville, June in Chicago, and Wisconsin in August will be good enough....And hopefully if he plays the Meeting of the Minds in KW, then that would be an added bonus!!!!!

It should be a fun time, as long as the weather co-operates......IF you can get the chance to make it to alpine valley, wisconsin, I would definately go there...It is a fun time, a great venue, and the sound is good....

got a block of rooms cofirmed today (5 min ago!) at Best Suites-Airport. not "real" far from venue but at least they had rooms.
Hope Jillians Nashville has a bus or something-if not will drive Shamu the motorhome to concert and argue with parking security wankers again.

Looks like Capnrick has the bus!!! What time are you picking us all up? <LOL> Chgo and I figure we'll have about 10 waiting for you at the Music City Best Western Inn.

I read the rules and I think that's part of the reason everybody is looking for the pre-party. If the pre-party is at the Suites by the Airport, maybe we can get CitCat's chaffeur to throw us all in their van for the trip.

We may try to make to Alpine Valley, though I've heard a rumor that there may be a St. Louis show added in the same timeframe, which would make it tough.

3 concerts in a year isn't too bad, regardless. I'm 30, and Nashville will be my 5th show. My wife is about 2 ahead of me, though I'm the bigger Parrothead. Typically, he's come through St. Louie about once every other year.

Since the Music City Best Western is ALREADY booked up  does anyone know the address of the Holiday Inn that HeWent was talking about?

Our group brings it four more at the BWMCI... seems a LARGE contigent, let's take up where the Nash.Parroth.Club left off. Better yet, the Memphis Parrothead Club is VERY active, and even have a new CD Release party at Newbys. This club is great...the people in charge are IN CHARGE!!!!!! the Holiday Inn is at 201 Crossings Place phone 615-731-2361. Next is the Budget Inn, 615-361-9266. I think the Days Inn at Bell Rd. is full 615-731-7800. Intown Suites is 615-360-5674. These are the closest motels, and I feel they may be full. Go to citysearch.com and look for motels starting in Antioch, TN, and go out from there. Look for our black van at the BWMCI, with the writing on the windows(if it's not raining) and the orange TN on the antenna!!!!!!

If nothing else, it sounds like there will be a decent contingent at the BWMCI. Does anybody have a guitar??? Some simple 6 string music while tipping back Corona's may be a great way to start.

As soon as I get a yea or nay on my tickets, if it's a yea, you can count me and my husband in as two more tailgaters. In the discussion forum someone said something about Jillians. Has this idea flopped or what? Hey if we get many more in here we can do our own tailgating.

I think CapnRick was checking and we never heard back. So, I don't know if it flopped or just didn't come to fruition.

How far is Jillians from the Best Western? I wonder if Bryan had the right idea by walking to AmSouth from the Best Western?/?

If the traffic is as bad as they say it is, then walking maybe the best way, especially if you can't tailgate in the parking lot.....We could do the Conga line all the way to the concert LOL
