Parrothead_Michelle I think we are at the same hotel..Super 8 on Bell Rd, it is less than a mile from the Courtyard and pre-party events.....Can't Wait!!!!I will keep looking ofr Post Party Events since it is actually 15 min from downtown and probably too far to drive after a concert.....

Anyone got any ticket connections? We still need one lawn seat. If we dont find one...then one of us DOESNT have to pace themselves pre-concert!!!! hehe. Appreciate any help you guys can give us.

Ca Soul, yeah it is the one on Bell Road. Don't know what room we are in, but we drive a silver PT cruiser. Hope we all get the chance to party together! Which, I'm sure we will.

Michelle

Anybody know if there are any large parking lots adjacent to Amsouth? Somebody said something about the cops checking your cars for coolers...that can't be true? I mean, I know some people who are close enough to drive into Nashville, and whatever they have in their car is really no business of the cops OR the Amsouth people. They paid for their tickets...how can coolers, etc. possibly be not allowed in cars in the Amsouth parking lot? Methinks I misunderstood.   I hope!

We heard the same thing about Amsouth. When we called them to ask, we asked if we could tail-gate and was told absolutely NOT! Then we specifically asked if there was anywere near that we would be allowed to tail-gate. The answer again was NO! I don't know if this is true since I've never been there personally, but it's what we were told by Amsouth. I also have a few friends that said last time JB was there, the cops were checking for coolers and pouring out anything they found! This is the reason the SMPH club planned the pre-party at Courtyard Cafe.

And there is more exciting news to report! We just found out the the band, St. Somewhere will be playing the side stage at Amsouth starting at 6:30! If you aren't famaliar with St. Somewhere, take it from me, you don't want to miss it. I'd trade a parking lot for them anytime. If ya like to dance, you need to be there. They ROCK!!

So, pre-party at Courtyard Cafe from 1-5, then St. Somewhere at 6:30 at Amsouth. It will be perfect. If there does happen to be tail-gating, we can all stop for a little bit of that between the two parties!

Well, I can see them not letting coolers with booze(would cut down on THEIR booze profits) into the actual stadium. But surely (I know, stop calling you Shirley), they don't check every car for coolers. We're bringing three or more coolers filled with food, booze, and booze (not to mention the beer!) in our van. We're drinking this stuff before and after the concert...none of their business, huh? I'd hate to have to stop off at our motel after the pre-party and lag all these coolers up to the room, then after the concert, lag them all down to the van for the afterparty. ????

Citkat- I'm sure there will be plenty of us willing to help lighten those cooler before you lug them up to your room.

Editorial-I can't see how they can check every car and every cooler when they open the gates 2 hours before the show and not have a whole lot of ticked off Parrotheads. I wonder if that is just a ploy to scare away the weak and discourage that type of activity.

Great point about the beer profits, after all AmSouth is in it to make the moolah!!

Exlclamation-Two weeks and two days!! Can't wait to meet y'all. (Is it appropriate to say y'all in Tennessee?)

This the latest info I have on a Preconcert Party for the Nashville concert.
The Smoky Mountain Parrot Head Club, Tall Paul and the Courtyard Cafe are
proud to announce the Jimmy Buffett pre-concert party in Nashville!

Saturday, April 13 from 1-5 p.m. at the Courtyard Cafe. Located at 867 Bell
Rd., Antioch, TN. Only 10 minutes from AmSouth Amphitheater!

The Courtyard Cafe is certainly a Parrot Head phriendly kinda place. They
offer all our favorite eats and drinks. Corona specials will be waiting for
you! And it gets even better at happy hour from 3-7 p.m. when they offer
these great specials.
$1 Draft
2 for 1 Mix Drinks
$1.75 Margaritas
$3.00 Frozen Drinks
20 cent Wings
35 cent Fresh Oysters
35 cent Crawfish
50 cent Shrimp Cocktail

A $5 cover charge will support the live music. The band consists of several
Parrot Head style musicians including, Tall Paul, Tod Sheley, Klee Lyles and
Milan Miller. Other surprise guest musicians may join in the phun!

Come by to enjoy the phun atmosphere of the Courtyard Cafe, great
island-style music from the live band and make new phriends with other
Parrot Head clubs before the concert.
Thanks
Capn Rick
