Sail On Hugo Duarte

Such a loss to the music community. :( :(
It is with heavy hearts that Sarah and I want to let everyone know that Hugo passed quickly and peacefully at 6:30 am this morning into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior. He fought bravely and courageously, but he was ready to be free from pain and fear. We read him many of your messages and texts and played your voicemails. He loved you all very much and felt your positive energy and prayers. Thank you all so much!

Will always remember late nights at Hogs Breath........such a great time......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I couldn't have said it better.

Thanx for the music, Hugo. You will be missed.

Sail on..

So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!

Feeling truly devastated today.
I've played his song "End of the Road" several times today, and it will be playing in my head for a while.
Sail on, Brother Hugo. Thank you for the music, thank you for the stories, thank you for the humor, thank you for the visits, thank you for the 4 AM phone calls, thank you for the love, thank you for the walks with Sheba, and thank you for the joy and honor of not only being a friend to me, but a brother.
My heart is extra heavy today.

To be remembered so very fondly by so very many ... that's my idea of heaven. I did not know Hugo. Loving condolences to all of you who will miss him greatly. And flights of angels sing him to his rest.
I'm just tryin to get by, being quiet and shy, in a world full of pushin and shove
