So from what I understand there's no tailgating prior to about 3:00pm when the lots open?

that's correct. Can't tailgate until the lots open -- last year was around 3:00 but you would probably want to be in line and waiting long before that so you can get as close to the venue as possible. Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by asking a question here about the upcoming Bristow VA show. I'm going with a friend..it's our first JB show! We'll be staying nearby and hope to catch a cab to and from Jiffy Lube Live. I checked out the website and it looks like you setup your tailgate by your car. Since we won't have a car, any ideas how that will work or suggestions on how to make it work for us? Obviously, we won't have an elaborate set-up. Any info will help...thanks!!

WELCOME TO BUFFETTNEWS and to THE LUBE thread.
Tailgating is usually set up behind or in front of your car as the parking folks guide you into the lot.
There will be a group of BN people meeting at the Lowes parking lot a few miles from the venue. We will try to caravan in an attempt to stay together.
I would suggest that whatever you take make it as disposable as possible so you don't have to drag it far from wherever the cab will drop you off.
Keep your eyes on this thread since we will soon be making more formal plans.
