Anyone have experience or knowledge about how these shows go down? Does he do it before an actual opening? Months after opening? Does he just show up? Is there any type of ticketing process? Thanks for any info.

I saw Jimmy when they opened Mohegan Sun Margaritaville. It was private VIP ticketed event free , I was also at Margaritaville's soft opening a week or 2 prior to the Jimmy Show. Both were open bar and free food. One of my best Buffett experiences.

I think officers of all the New England PH clubs were able to get tickets for them , and a guest. The rest I believe were corporate sponsors, and people tied to Margaritaville. We had to go to a special area to pick up credentials.

Jimmy's reasons for playing Margaritaville Cafe shows have varied over the years including:

Grand Opening performances
Surprise Appearances due to Jimmy having a regular tour show in the same area as the Margaritaville Cafe
Appearances with other members of the CRB during their shows at the Cafe
Jimmy has also appeared as a guest of Club Trini at some Margaritaville Cafe Shows including being part of the Club Trini live CD recorded at the New New Orleans Margaritaville Cafe
He also has been known to perform at the New Orleans Margaritaville Cafe when he is scheduled to perform at JazzFest
There have been Margaritaville Cafe shows featuring just Jimmy and Mac McAnally

The first broadcast of a live concert on Radio Margaritaville was from the Orlando Margaritaville Cafe in March 1999

I don't have any first hand experience but I've been told if you are at a Margaritaville and they start closing the shutters and letting new folks in, order more drinks and stay put.

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like the "local" PH chapter has been inactive for a number of years. Maybe I will just try showing up at the ribbon cutting.

I had so hoped to see him at the Nashville restaurant but it didn't happen.

I know he showed up and played at the one in Panama City. I think there was a topic on here about that and I remember talking to one of the servers about it. Not sure of the date. Wonder if he'll get by Destin.

For the most part it is just a guessing game as to JB's whereabouts and if he is doing a concert in that particular area. If yes then you can start the what if's at that time. I guessed right in New Orleans twice, which was awesome, prior to a Jazz Fest, but also missed both Pensacola and LuLu's by one day. I usually ask the managers or a few of the people working if they have heard the rumors about Jimmy being there for a performance. They will lose their job if they give that up, but you can read the body language, always pay attention to late afternoon changes in seating that can be a give away. A small venue is unreal, really a lifetime memory, good intel helps but sometimes it is just luck.
