Agree. Well, if we win the grand prize, we'll go, otherwise it's just a small venue concert with the hits. Been there, done that and loved it. Don't get me wrong, but we will leave the tickets on the table for someone else.

If I see one more post on FB that says "I definitely want to hear CIP!", I might just puke on my keyboard. I couldn't see anywhere it stated the set list would be published before the concert. :-?

I've been checking the top 30 leaderboard periodically. None of the 27 songs I chose are trending, which is pretty odd because I thought I was at least a tiny bit trendy.

Since we each get to choose 27 songs for our setlist, I wonder if he's going to go with the top 27 songs on the list? It would be nice if he just used the voting as a guideline and maybe reached down a little lower than the top vote getters and grabbed a couple of lesser known and rarely heard songs. Unfortunately, I expect it to be a run of the mill setlist.

I picked one trendy song. Fins. It's like our secret Parrothead handshake and I feel like it goes well as the song before the final, final encore.

And I feel like I should go re-do because I forgot West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown. Not like it matters. I can't go anyway.

After looking at the Standings and what is trending, it appears that the setlist will be the yellow album played in full. I really hope it doesn't stay this way but I have a bad feeling it will.

Though many of us may not like it...I think that the top 30 leaderboard kind of validates what JB does with his set lists. :(

This whole thing proves what I have always believed. There are very few diehard fans. I will never call myself a parrothead again because if that crap set list is what parrotheads want I want no association with them. This whole thing is a crap fest and I rather he never did it in the first place.

The negativity around never fails to amaze me. An almost 70 year old man who is worth a half billion dollars who could ride out his years on a private island doing whatever he pleases is throwing a free party for his fans and you don't think that is a good thing because a bunch of strangers are picking songs you don't like? You all need some clarity as to what is important.

I guess if I came off negative is because I consider myself a diehard fan and maybe greed played a factor as well. We all know that retirement for Jimmy is soon and inevtiable, and for me there are so many songs that are rareties that he has never played live or I haven't heard live, I would love to hear. I'm sure there are many out there who aren't as fortunate as some of us to have seen him live not once, but tens of times and only know his popular songs and the ones you hear on the radio. So I guess I am not surprised by what the standings say so far, but you are correct and we should just be fortunate that he is still touring and giving myself and my friends something to look forward to every summer.

drunkpirate66, You said it all right there.

Most of us go to work every day. Some of us love the work. Some don't. Either way, most of us HAVE to do a lot of the things we do.

Jimmy has reached the point he can do WHATEVER he WANTS to do, and NOTHING that he doesn't want to do.

Turns out that what he WANTS to do is this...

let some fans pick out some songs... that he will then play... and he's giving a couple of fans a free trip, to boot.

Yeah, he may make some money in some way, shape or form from this. So what? With the ridiculous amount he already has, it ain't like he's doing the show so he can eat tonight. He could cancel the whole thing, cancel the whole tour and simply sail off into the sunset.

And yet there are people complaining............

I don't think I'm being negative, it's more that I'm kind of puzzled. Fans have a chance to pick a setlist and looking at the list of songs that are trending, 9 out of the top 10 are songs that he plays at every show. If you have a chance to choose what songs you're going to hear, why would you choose the same old stuff that gets played every night? For example, I've seen Bruce Springsteen in concert maybe 10 times. My favorite Springsteen song is Rosalita but he hardly ever plays it, I've only heard him do it once. If he let fans vote for a setlist, I'd choose Rosalita over, say, Born To Run, which he plays a lot more often.

Ballad Of Skip Wiley and Bend A Little. But if I could change them, like I said on FB, just for $h!ts and giggles I should have chosen O.P.P. and Baby Got Back.

I bet it was.

One of the longest on going debates I have with my friends (for about 20 years now, since my Coast Guard days) is Nantucket in the Summer or St. Barths in the winter.

There is no answer. I love them both but I always argue in favor of Nantucket for one simple reason: no traffic. St. Barths, for such a beautiful tiny island, just has way to much congestion. One of the best things Nantucket ever did was make it ridiculously expensive to bring a car over on the ferry and there are very limited rentals. What you get is quiet, no traffic jams, no diesel odor (Key West is the worst), and beautiful bike rides to some of the most beautiful places on the planet. I would argue the surfing is better on Nantucket as well. Why? More open beaches and less surfers. :D

And the Chicken Box is my jam. My favorite watering hole of all time.
