Missing my Buffett fix....help!

Post by bonefish »

While I still consider myself a PH, I haven't been to a show in nearly 3 years. I'm up to 53-55 (I've actually lost track) shows now but my frequency of attendance has definitely gone down with the arrival of little ones.
I also moved from Chicago to Charleston, SC, so while I'm definitely living a more Buffett-like lifestyle, I'm not getting to see him as much.
Maybe I'm just crying in my margarita and need some fellow PHs to commiserate with.......
Maybe I just need to pick a couple dates and say "I'm going" and not let anything get in the way.

Your latitude has made a vast improvement! My daughter lives in Charleston for 11 years (Mt. Pleasant) and I will be moving there next year. And.....I will be in Charleston for most of the summer. JetBlue can be a great friend!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Okay.... from a guy who didn't make a show for three years and was feeling much the same way.....

We're finally gonna see JB play again this summer, and I can't even explain how much I'm looking forward to it. My plan from here on out is to never go another year without a show. Yeah, it's expensive and it takes time, but (to me) it's all worth it.

My brother lives in DC and we've attended around 20 JB shows together. He just sent me a text "Hey, what about coming to Bristow for the 6/20 show"

I just spoke to the wife about the idea and it sounds like there's some definite interest. Need to figure out what to do with the two kids!

So, after 3 years, might make it happen with a road trip from Charleston to VA!

Or, as we say around here, "Here, take a teaspoon of cement and harden up Princess".

You can get real cheap airfare from myrtle beach to Detroit right now. Come to the Michigan show. Its gonna be a special show being that its on the water this year and tickets are still available.

MSU sucks.
I don't care much for Sparty either, but this is an incredibly rude response to someone who's just trying to offer a solution to your ridiculous problem.

I was only kidding. Kind of like Bucky sucks as well. (I'm a Boilermaker!)

Made it to Bristow VA for the June 20th show. While that venue totally sucks, it was still a good time. Already planning a trip to FL for the Spring 2016 shows.
