Thanks, SunLover!

Great show. Hoping for a continued change in the setlist.

Would love to hear "hello texas" and "Livingston's gone to Texas" on Saturday.

Jolly mon and bama breeze has run their course. He could also drop if I had a boat and southern cross...overall, I think this tour has potential to be great.

Fins up! 8)

Thanks SunLover!

What a great concert! I can't wait to download and listen to it. I was actually happy to hear Bama Breeze and Jolly Mon. I don't think we've had Bama Breeze in Houston since 2006.

Thank you! Can't wait to listen to this on the way home. I really like this setlist and the possibility of him changing up some of the songs every night.

SunLover: I noticed that the sound quality on the video is way better than on the audio downloads. Is there a way to "upgrade" the audio downloads so they are as good as the video? Not meaning to be a bother.

Thanks for all you do! I really cherish these.

Thanks for the feedback. I know the audio quality of the RM feeds has suffered lately. Since Marg TV started, they are understandably allocating more bandwidth for the Marg TV feed and swiping it from RM (a pirate looks at more bandwidth?). I was under the impression that Marg TV was uploaded by satellite while RM was still being sent by their usual method (maybe internet?)... The weird thing is the RM quality is still low on nights when there is no live Marg TV broadcast.

I can use the Marg TV audio when I am able to capture it live or get it from the video post that Coasterghost provides. I will do audio upgrades as time permits and as I can get the Marg TV source. Of course, I don't want to put any pressure on him to rush his posts as well just so I can get audio. We often do work closely with each others' processing and help each other out, but sometimes the timing may not always work out.

As shows are upgraded, I will bump the appropriate thread up to indicate a new download is available. As always, I will continue to use the RM sat feed as my main source since I may not always be able to get the Marg TV audio.

I do have some scheduling changes (more on that later) that may easily allow the upgrades where available. This will result in delayed postings, but if the result is better audio, I believe the delay could be worth wait...

I apologize that the audio files are not as good as they could be. I'll work on the upgrades as I can.

SunLover: That makes sense on the bandwidth. I noticed that after you "upgraded" the Key West show it made a huge difference and that it made it almost like being there. I also noticed this last year on the Austin show - that the audio download was not near as good as when I went back and watched the show many months later.

You do all this out of the goodness of your ginormous heart! But I would say that it is well worth the extra wait if we have a better audio copy, if you have to get it from the video file. I know sometimes that isn't an option or that the video doesn't always "air" live.

Like you said, give us a bump if you are able to upgrade this show from the video.

And you sincerely don't know how much this means!

Another idea might be to use a program like Total Recorder or another audio recorder and just record the audio from the live Margaritaville TV broadcasts

That would work. The problem would be that I have to be home to set that up. I currently setup a DVR recording and simultaneously capture the audio from a satellite feed of RM as a timer recording.

Total recorder has a timer feature

Yes, it was a special show. Defying Gravity was also a real treat as well. That is why having an upgraded audio from the video will be way cool! I think show was a real keeper for the ages.

After going to a lot of shows sometimes they all run together. But when you are at one that is special, us show veterans seem to sense it early on and sit back and go, "wow!" And that is why we keep going and take our kids.

Hey SunLover! Just curious, have you had a chance to see if the audio from MTV ended up being better for this show? I was about to re-download but thought I would check first to see if it was different or if you had changed it.

No biggie. Hope you are having a great week.

I am finalizing the mixdown with the RM feed and the Marg TV audio. Marg TV had the sound of the waves during Workin N Playin (video), Ragtop Day and the first bit of Holdup. The Workin N Playin (video) will be replaced with a "clean" version from Marg TV, while Ragtop Day and Holdup will still be RM audio (they did not have the wave crashing sounds). The rest of the show will be Marg TV audio.

I'll bump this thread up when the new files are posted.

SunLover: Thanks so much! You don't know how much I enjoy these. And oddly enough, I kind of liked the waves on the video during Ragtop and Holdup even though I know MTV didn't mean to do that. But I can see where folks would not like that on an audio album.
