After registering for his high school classes, a boy comes back home and tells his parents:
"I got all the classes I wanted, but I need some school supplies by Monday.  I gotta have a compass and a protractor for geometry, a dictionary for English, a dissecting kit for biology, and a car for driver's ed."

Funny, although high schools around here don't teach driver's ed anymore.
We have to pay $$$ to a private driving school for 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours instructor led behind-the-wheel.
And parents must do 60 hours behind-the-wheel instruction for their kids.
Only then, can they get a "provisional" drivers license.

Times have changed.

LOL!

And Illinois still has the option to take Driver's Ed at school, or privately. The price is equally outrageous either way.
