Good morning. I think I'll take a ride to the ballpark later and go to the team store, according to the Pelicans website the 2015 Carolina League Champions t-shirts are in.

This is the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Rita.
How could I forget.....not having power for 2 weeks.
What an experience.

So much for that idea. It started raining while I was driving to the ballpark and I wasn't wearing a hat. I didn't want my 'do to get messed up so I turned around and came home.

It's been pouring all afternoon and I'm not driving anywhere tonight. I think I'll have a beer.

edit: I forgot about this before. When I was out earlier I saw a billboard with an outline of home plate in the middle. Above the plate it said "IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER" and below the plate it said "YOGI BERRA, 1925-2015". Nice touch.

Too bad for the rainy day, Larry. It has been an absolutely glorious weather week in New England.

The Yogi tributes have been great. He was beloved in a way that I can't imagine for current players, just a different time.

I can't remember ever hearing anybody saying a bad thing about Yogi. Ever. He was like Ernie Banks, even if you weren't a fan of his team you had to like him and you could still root for him.
