Good morning.

The weather guessers are saying Hurricane Joaquin is going to stay far enough away that it won't make landfall here but between now and Sunday the forecast is for up to 7 inches of rain. There's a flood watch until 8:00pm Saturday.

The Mets are playing in Philadelphia today. Game time was supposed to be 7:05, they moved it to noon to try and beat the storm. Things could get interesting. They played last night, 2 players on each team were hit by pitches and a Mets relief pitcher was ejected from the game for almost hitting a batter in the head. One of the talking heads on the MLB Network said the Mets should give all their regulars the day off and only play their bench players today so nobody gets hurt a week before the playoffs start.

Morning BN.

I have my ark on standby. Between storm #1 (today to SAturday) and possible #2 (Sunday night to MOnday), I thought it might be a good idea

Since I don't have anything else to do on this potentially crappy day, I finally sorted through my pictures from the last couple of weeks. I posted some in the photo op thread.

One of the local TV stations here starts its evening newscast at 4:00 in the afternoon. The weather report was just on. The weather guesser said there are 3 different forecast models tracking the path of Hurricane Joaquin, between now and Monday we could get anywhere from 6-19 inches of rain. :o Maybe I should go buy some more beer, just to be safe.

Well, it is the Friday of the Labour Day Weekend here in New South Wales. I've got Friday and Tuesday off work to make a good break of it.

This weekend is the Shorthorn Youth Expo, where the 8 to 20 year olds do all the showing and looking after the cattle. It is a great few days watching these future champions strut their stuff (ok, we end up working just as hard as we would at a senior show, it's just in the background).

One small hitch.

Mrs Rabz has come down with Ross River Fever. A skeeter borne virus that is pretty nasty.

So I guess we won't be going anywhere.

At least she has her new cheeseburger hat to cheer her up!
