I think a similar thread was started way back when but may have disappeared when BN was updated.

This is what's happening right now in Lancaster County, PA:

Runaway blimp: Defense Department balloon drifted unmanned, untethered and carrying missile-detection radar, over Lancaster County.

Lessee.....

Local high school wins National Blue Ribbon School award.

Local high school volleyball team going to the state Final 4.

Local high school has higher ACT scores than anybody else in the area.

Local school district receives a rating of 95/100 from state accreditation.

(full disclosure.... I work at local school district.

)

And, dear wife backed her car into somebody else's van. No injuries except for wife's ego.

That's about it.

That's right, I forgot. In Pennsylvania you have to go to beer stores to get beer.

Well, I got an email from the Carolina Country Music Festival and there is something happening, even if it isn't until June, 2016. They just announced another performer to go along with the previously announced appearance of Tim McGraw. Keith Urban has been added to the bill. That still isn't enough to get me to lay out my money for a 3 day pass.

Seems like this weekend is the sports edition.

Got the baseball game just down the road. The even further down (9 miles or so), there is the annual 26.2 mile footrace. There's not much in the way of Halloween activities.

This is actually a pretty good one....

There was a kid working at the local Target store. (18-19?) Another employee there, female and older, apparently resembles Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the 1980s Superman movies.

Anyway.... this kid made advances to the Lois Lane-woman. She rejected him (of course.)

So.... he ran his car through the front doors of the Target store.

Exactly. Running the car into Wal-Mart wouldn't have won her heart the way this probably did. True love will prevail.

At the Target store in my hometown, they have about four or five huge red-painted cement balls in front of the doors to prevent just this from happening.
Which of course makes one wonder — just how many times has this happened that they felt the need to do that in the first place?
