Ever run into him at an airport, beach, bar, etc, etc, etc? Did you get to speak with him or just shake his hand and take a selfie?
I've had 2 very brief run in's, both at Wrigley Field after he sang the 7th inning stretch, once in '99 and again in '03. Both times, he was coming out of the press box, plenty of security around him, but I was able to wiggle in and get him to sign my Cubs ticket stub. One of the times, I handed him a picture of myself holding a nice bonefish (since JB likes to fly fish) and on the back, I wrote something to the effect of "if you're ever looking for a fly fishing partner, let me know" and gave him my email.
I'm still waiting for the invite......

Stories about meeting JB?
Roll with the punches
Play all of his hunches
Make the best of whatever came his way
What he lacked in ambition
He made up with intuition
Plowing straight ahead come what may
