Good morning! Today we celebrate the one person who walked 36 miles back to my truck at the lube with us so Sarah could take care of some "mommy duties."

Image Good thing I ate 12 chili dogs on New Years Day, I needed that fuel to get through yesterday. Was a long day for us mailmen and women. So much mail I was delivering until after 6:30 yesterday. Needless to say I got some solid sleep last night.

Andrea -- our lookout girl! A tailgate without Andrea is like a tailgate without an ice luge (oh, wait. A tailgate without Andrea IS a tailgate without an ice luge, 'cause she's the ice luge queen) Anywho, I love me some Andrea, and she knows that! [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=loopyblicking.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif] [smilie=hearts.gif]

Aloha all!

In keeping with the tailgate dedications, I would like to nominate the fabulous Tonga Tam, Temptress of Tonga Juice!
I'm just tryin to get by, being quiet and shy, in a world full of pushin and shove

The average human walking speed is approximately 5 km (3.1 miles) per hour.  This means you people were walking for 12 HOURS ??!!?? Hell, it would take me the better part of two hours just to ride that far on my bicycle — and I am definitely no slouch when it comes to turning the pedals.
I'm not exactly calling BS, but I do believe that someone here — and I'm looking at you, jb — is definitely exaggerating.
And regardless of what the truth is, I would love to hear the full story.

Sarah had our daughter four months prior and was breast feeding. Gianna was staying at her aunt and uncles house while we went to the show. We didn't arrive till after 5 pm and had to park in the far lot, 36 miles away. Two hours before show time, Sarah had to go alleviate her shaboobies and Andrea decided to walk with us. She was not aware how far away we had parked and about 27 miles in wanted us to leave her for dead. Luckily Sarah who at this point was full of nourishing milk, whipped up Andrea a rum and milk, she downed it, and continued on our epic journey. It's all well documented on that years changes in latitude video.

There's a pedometer app on my phone that counts steps and estimates mileage. I think I'll go for a walk and see how long it takes me to do 36 miles. See ya later.

Afternoon BN. Spent a cool (43ish degrees) day walking all over Central Park. Saw parts of the park I haven't been before. Then walked a few miles down to grab some lunch.
