Bangor, I think is very expeensive. Not sure on Portland.lime rickie wrote:Amtrak is too long anyway. It's far enough in advance to find cheap flights to Boston, Portland, or Bangor.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!

Agreed...the further North you fly, the more $$$ it is. The prices vary dramatically when leaving out of Boston compared to leaving out of Portland.aeroparrot wrote:Bangor, I think is very expeensive. That is why I take 495. Google says longer, but traffic moves faster.lime rickie wrote:On a Friday? In the summer? Heading toward the Cape? Depends on what time you leave. Leave around 9, you could get to the MA border around lunch.lime rickie wrote:It's a haul, probably 6-7 hours. I imagine the parade of cars from Bangor to Mansfield will be unprecedented.aeroparrot wrote:Depends on what time you leave. I'm in. Booked a room at the Country Inn at The Mall 4 miles away for $115. The Residence Inn was over $300.
The show is listed as a 7pm start time so another opening act on this tour. Really hoping it is not ZZ Top for the whole tour.

Re: Bangor, ME Thursday, August 18
My wife's parents own a vacation home outside of Bath Maine on Georgetown Island about 90 min from Bangor. Looks like I'll be staying there a day or two before this show rather than drive 5 hours all at once.
I just need to make sure they haven't already rented it for that week
