BRISTOW 2016

Post by goodtime_mo »

Looking at how the tour is shaping up and at the Jiffy Lube calendar, it would appear that IF Jimmy is going to play on a Saturday, it would either be August 13th or 20th. All the June Saturdays are already booked and he'll most likely take July off.
Of course he could play a Tuesday or Thursday. 8)

Wish I could go,
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I don't think I would. it was a very long drive, even though it was an awesome experience.

Can anyone tell me the scoop on this venue? Can you tailgate in the parking lot, have grills, etc. Usually see Jimmy in the Burgh but can't make that date this year. Thanks!

You can tailgate in p lot with grills ( I think gas only). Drink of choice in a plastic cup 8) Don't act stupid & they will leave you alone. An issue though is trying to get in & out. Lots have not opened til 4ish the last couple of years and of course the mass of people trying to get in really backs the road up. Then they will send everyone out the same way when you leave so that takes a while as well. We always just hang out after the show, usually fire the grill up again, & wait for it to clear.
Please come join us! Hoping he announces a date soon!!

I will be doing the Burgh for the 1st time this year :pirate:

No canopies either. If you put one up they'll make you take it down.

Thanks everyone for the info. Tailgaitingph, you are allowed canopies in Pittsburgh/Burgettstown. They don't open the gates early there anymore either and there is a mad dash in.

Quick question, does your beverage have to be in a plastic cup or can you have your can in a koosie?

You can probably get away with a CAN in a koozie but just throw a handful of red cups in your stash just in case.

2 years ago security came through and had the group next to us put all of their bottles away. They had them sitting on the parking lot next to their chairs. I think it's just the idea of having the booze "out in the open". Again, if you treat them with respect, offer them a bottle of water or a snack, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Well, we can remove August 20th from the list of possibilities. I guess I'll put my $ on the 13th now.
