Who's going to Charlotte 4/23/16
Charlotte on a Saturday! It's going to be awesome. We are hitting up Raleigh on Thursday then moving the party to Charlotte. The weekend is definitely starting early. Who's ready for Charlotte?

Everything is set for the mobile wing and gumbo station to make the trip up from Central Florida.
Hope you Carolinians can put up with the invasion of the Swamp People!
And love the shirts - 3X a possibility?

So here we are at about 52 days left and this thread is very quiet...
First time to this location - need input on where to park the truck and cooking equipment for the tailgating.
Any help will gain you free jello shots for the duration.
See you all there.

I agree tgatorglass. Pretty quiet for a Saturday show! Charlotte is a great venue and is very tailgate friendly. Really any of the lots are good tailgating spots, of course the earlier you get there the better.

Re: Who's going to Charlotte 4/23/16
We are usually the crazy people in line at 9 am hanging in the street having jello shots and coffee until the gate guards feel sorry for us (or get tired of seeing us) and open the gates and let us in.
What time do the gates open up in those parts?

Back in the day, the lots would open around noon. For the last several years, the lots haven't opened until 4:30 with the exception of one lot that still opens around noonish.tgatorglass wrote:We are usually the crazy people in line at 9 am hanging in the street having jello shots and coffee until the gate guards feel sorry for us (or get tired of seeing us) and open the gates and let us in.

Re: Who's going to Charlotte 4/23/16
Lot F usually opens around noon and the rest of the lots around 4:00. We are getting excited about the show and beginning to make plans. Should have around 25 or so in our group. See you there!

Re: Who's going to Charlotte 4/23/16
Okay Lot F - will figure out where it is and be in line early. Take me an hour to set up and in the meantime that averages about 1 jello shot every 10 minutes!
I heard from some of my cohorts up there and we should have somewhere around 30 of us there to get things started.
Running out of time to get ready, but we will at have lots of food and rum! See ya'll up there....

Re: Who's going to Charlotte 4/23/16
any idea where to get the parking passes ahead of time? or are they first come first served for the lots?
Also, are these asphalt or grass lots?
Thanks in advance for an answer.....

The only lot that you need a pass for is the VIP lot. The lots are gravel.
