Morning.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I just heard a weather report on the radio and they said it might snow tonight and/or tomorrow. No mention of accumulation but ... snow. I don't like to go grocery shopping on the weekend but maybe I should go stock up, I only have a few beers left.

Afternoon BNers
Since we are giving weather reports, it is 55 degrees here with abundant sunshine
Guess I need to buy a few groceries.

When life hands you lemons, don't make lemonade; slice them instead. Then find the guy with the salt and the tequila, and have a party!!
Just got back home from a 25-mile bicycle ride in Perry IA. For the past 39 years now the local Chamber of Commerce has been hosting what they bill as "The Original Winter Bicycle Ride" and known officially as the "Bicycle Ride to Rippey" — or "BRR" for short. Rides are held regardless of the weather; we have ridden in sub-zero cold more appropriate to a polar expedition as well as spring-like temperatures in the low 60s. Today the thermometer was in the mid-30s as over 1500 people took to the road for the jaunt from Perry to nearby Rippey and return.
Why so many crazies riding bikes on the first Saturday of February? Well, as many of you may know Iowa is the home of the biggest summer-time bicycle ride, the seven-day cross-state ride known as RAGBRAI and sponsored by the Des Moines Register newspaper that attracts over 15K riders annually. And since Perry is centrally located in Iowa and only about an hour's drive from Des Moines, there are any number of RAGBRAI riders who will brave the elements (like yours truly) and gather in this small Iowa community for the 'unofficial' early start of the season.
So, while it would have been nice to have been riding somewhere like Key West or somewhere else in the Sun Belt, sometimes you just gotta play the hand you were dealt. It's how you choose to play it, though, that makes all the difference.
