Any guesses on cover songs/ tributes this year?
With so many musicians passing already this year I wonder who Jimmy and the Reefers will cover? Glenn Frey, David Bowie or somebody else?

Some sort of Glenn Frey tribute is practically mandatory given that Jimmy opened for The Eagles in the 1970's and Glenn Frey performed on Jimmy 1985 album "Last Mango in Paris"Parrotheadnut wrote:With so many musicians passing already this year I wonder who Jimmy and the Reefers will cover? Another recently passed artists with a connection to Jimmy is Dan Hicks who died on February 6th. Jimmy did a duet with Dan Hicks called "Bar stool Boogie" on Dan Hick's 2004 album entitled "Selected Shorts" This song would be an awesome concert song for Jimmy to perform.

Gotta be Glenn. JB performed on "Greeks Don't Want No Freaks" on the Long Run album. My guess is we'll hear Take It Easy and Gypsies back to back.

Gypsies for Glenn Frey
Young Americans for Bowie, as good a fit with CRB as All Night Long

Would like to hear "Bar Stool Boogie" - it would be a great concert song, along with a tribute to Glen Fry. Jimmy did not seem to work with Bowie, so I would not expect any of his songs. ![battingeyes [smilie=battingeyes.gif]](./images/smilies/battingeyes.gif)

How would the Jimmy & the CRB sound doing Glenn Frey's "Smugglers Blues" as a tribute?
Although Jimmy would likely have to sing an octave lower or change the key if he did the singing, I think that would be very cool!
