Girlfriend got one lawn. I got one pavilion. That presale was b.s. why did it only work for a few? Plus tons on ticket broker site owned by DTE yesterday morning.

So if anyone wants to trade a lawn for my pavilion I'm interested

Holt sh#t. There are almost 2300 seats on stubhub and probably at least 1000 on ebay. This is a small venue to have this many tickets available on just two sites. Something stinks!
This is horse sh#t.
Jimmy needs to fu#k over these scalpers and add a show on the friday.

We need 2 lawn if anyone needs to dump seats :)

So now the prep begins....The tiki bar needs a refurb. The sharkshot probably needs a wipedown and the surfshot needs the new tour added.....

I've got a few months to figure out what, if anything, new I'll be building to add! So if your tailgate already has; 2 canopies, a pee-pee teepee, a tiki bar, a sharkshot and a surfshot, the question is, what are you missing?

My dad and I do father-daughter shows to different venues every year. This year we are thinking about Detroit. Also, I wanted to splurge on close pavilion seats this year because it is milestone birthdays for both my dad and I. As I was looking at the seating chart, I noticed the front center section with AAA-GGG rows. For those who are familiar... is this a small section? If I tried to get tickets in the sections right behind this front and center one, is that still relatively "close?"

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Triple letter row seats are the best in the house! Spitting distance to JB (think orchestra pit seats)! The single letter row seats after that are awesome seats! There really is no bad seating in the pavilion, although I always say stay away from each of the far ends....unless you are super close (single rows).

Still, I much prefer being more centered & will sacrifice distance from stage for more centered & a better view of the entire stage. When purchasing I recommend looking for Center, Left-Center or Right-Center seats. I bought seats in Row SS, & although there basically at the back of the pavilion they're pretty well centered so the view is very good.

Use the ticketmaster seating chart to best determine EXACTLY where your seats will be. It shows the seat numbers showing the proper direction so as you won't end up on one of the far sides of the pavilion. http://www.ticketmaster.com/jimmy-buffe ... norcatid=1

If you do decide to go to this show & don't want to go with the sticker-shock of splurging close to the stage I do have a pair for sale at face-value listed in the Ticket Exchange. Again, these are near the back of the pavilion so not exactly "Splurge" type tickets, but they will get you off the hill & they are in the Left Center Section.

Hope you & your dad enjoy making some new memories at the venue we here in Michigan affectionately call Pine Knob 8)

For those who haven't been to DTE before, the tailgating is the best!! Local ordinance prevents alcohol consumption in the lot but as long as you have your drink in a cup (Solo cup or something not see through) they won't bother you ;)

Florida Georgia Line is playing that Friday, the day before Buffett at DTE.
DTE holds a bit over 15,200 people.

My wife and I are new to DTE. It's our understanding that the lots don't open until 4:00. Where is the tailgating prior to that? Is there a common location? THANKS!

Lots WILL be open prior to 4:00. Can pretty much guarantee it. Could range anywhere from 1 pm until???.Most pre-tailgate at the Park-N-Ride just off I-75 on Sashabaw literally 1 minute from the venue (if there was no traffic).

Just to expand. Usually someone is in communication with DTE so that WHEN the lots are open the word comes down at the Park-N-Ride that it's time to move.

I guess since Jimmy has been "Downtown" the last few years it's a bit of assumption on my part as to how things will go down with the move back to "Pine Knob". Add in the fact that the area has become more commercialized over those years could have an effect on how things happen. I do hope the tradition holds true at the Park-N-Ride & entrance to the lot prior to 4 continues. That said, the lots at Pine Knob are verrrry lively & work out quite nicely! You shouldn't be disappointed. :pirate:

Ok I'm late to the party.....looking for one lawn.
If not I'll go to the pre-tailgate anyways, and try to get into the Pine Knob lot claiming ticket is at will call.
I should be able to score a ticket by the time it starts.....right?????

Gotta believe tix will be plentiful just before concert day. These days seems SO MANY scalpers scoop tix at the beginning. Good luck Al!
