If not I'll go to the pre-tailgate anyways, and try to get into the Pine Knob lot claiming ticket is at will call.
I should be able to score a ticket by the time it starts.....right?????
Anyone can get in the lot, you don't need a ticket.
They only stop you of you're heading to VIP parking or handicapped parking.
And there are always people in the lot selling tickets so you won't have a problem finding a ticket. Usually people get desperate and sell cheap.

Thanks BW.
I've been stopped at the entrance before and have been asked to show tickets at DTE/PK.
But sometimes not.
I'll be there!

Pavillion tickets available on Ticketmaster as of 11:45 am. I've seen LT3 and LCT5, rows P and V.

Enjoy if you need them...

So nice they held these back. I suppose Ticketmaster making a swap would be out of the question!

The answer is (surprisingly)... maybe?

http://www.ticketmaster.com/h/returns.html

From Ticketmaster:
Exchanges

Don't suffer from seat envy. If you see seats you prefer that are the same price or higher for your event, call 800-653-8000 to exchange the ones you have and just pay the difference, if any. Tickets bought at a Ticketmaster retail location must be exchanged at the same location. One exchange per person, per event.

We can't refund or exchange tickets for events that are less than 7 days away, and we can't refund or exchange resale ticket purchases for Fan-to-Fan Resale events.

Some non-participating venues (and artists, teams, etc.) have a "no refunds or exchanges" policy. But if the event is close and you can't make it, we'll do everything we can to help. Contact us!

I'm assuming those pavilion you found recently are just single seats. I check very often for tickets to this concert and have only been seeing single pavilion left.

I just checked and found a pair in Left 3 lol.
I guess it depends when you check because I haven't found anything until now. Those are pretty close seats.

So do we need to "fake" calls to PK that they need to open the lots earlier? If you arrive at 1pm, is there a good chance you can head straight to the Lots? I really don't want to set up in the P&R and pack up and move and set back up.

I need to fix the tiki bar roof.....Add the new tour name onto the board, and dig out inflatable Frank and Lola...but the shark girls are coming!

Just do a partial or minimal set up at the P&R at 9:00 am.
Might be the last time, right?
So why not do the full traditional PK thing.

Hey there!

My wife and I are thinking about coming up from Toledo for the show.

We are in need of some decent pavilion seats and a parking lot group to crash.

We will be more than happy to bring whatever is needed for the parking lot.

We usually go to Chicago shows but life has been getting in the way recently and just want to stay local for this year if we could.

I hope to see you all next week.

Randy

There are still decent pavilion left. I saw left 3 and left center pairs the other day on Ticketmaster. They've been popping up recently.

I called the box office and was told that they aren't allowing anyone into the parking lot until 2:00!! What do we think about that? They are taking away 4-5 hours of our tailgate time :(

I used to work at the Palace and I remember that one year they had to open the gates early because so many people were lined up down the road they were causing traffic issues.

How early is everyone planning on getting there? I know that 9 or 10 is our normal start time . . . but I'm concerned about the 2:00 thing.

P&R???

I was told the lot wasn't going to open until 2 and I don't want to miss out on the pre party!

Lots WILL be open prior to 4:00. Can pretty much guarantee it. Could range anywhere from 1 pm until???.Most pre-tailgate at the Park-N-Ride just off I-75 on Sashabaw literally 1 minute from the venue (if there was no traffic).
Great! Thank you for the info. I appreciate it.
Just to expand. Usually someone is in communication with DTE so that WHEN the lots are open the word comes down at the Park-N-Ride that it's time to move.

I guess since Jimmy has been "Downtown" the last few years it's a bit of assumption on my part as to how things will go down with the move back to "Pine Knob". Add in the fact that the area has become more commercialized over those years could have an effect on how things happen. I do hope the tradition holds true at the Park-N-Ride & entrance to the lot prior to 4 continues. That said, the lots at Pine Knob are verrrry lively & work out quite nicely! You shouldn't be disappointed. :pirate:
Let's all get there REALLY early, Jam up the road in and have the police make them open early. [smilie=giggle.gif]
I agree!!! I'm happy we'll all be able to pre party at the park and ride . . . but the lot is SOOOOOO much fun!!!! We'll be at the park and ride between 9 and 10 for breakfast burritos and bloody mary's . . . see you there!!!!
