Good morning. Opening day for the Pelicans isn't until April 7 but today is the first Thirsty Thursday of the season, $1 Bud and Bud Light, $2 craft beers and a band. It's also ticket pick up day for season ticket holders. It starts at 5:00 and the high temperature for today is supposed to be close to 80 degrees so it should be a nice evening at the ballpark.

There is considerable flooding in parts of Houston area and some mud slides from new freeway construction....ugh

evening everyone! Holy crazy week now that we had to actually work a full work week

cloudy and mid 50's in Michigan. Wish I was planning for retirement. I need to save about a billion dollars to get ready... i am excited that Kevin Says is planning, however. I am planning to go visit once they land.

I'm already 3 years into "early retirement". It was 80 degrees here today too,
so I went paddleboarding out on the Potomac River ...

That's my intended destination on the opposite (Virginia) side of the Potomac River,
that's DONALD J. DRUMPF NATIONAL GOLF COURSE over there ....

On my way .....

Halfway there ....

Made it to Virginia. The flag is at half mast for Nancy Reagan ....

Back from the ballpark. I picked up my tickets, got my picture taken with the Carolina League Championship trophy (the Mills Cup), had my free hot dog and soda, had a $1 Budweiser and listened to a not very good band. I almost never drink soda, I feel all bloated from having one. Maybe I should have had another beer, they sell Carolina Blonde.

I'm not wearing pants.

I don't have anything else planned until 3 weeks from Saturday, there's a celebrity softball game at the Pelicans ballpark. It's to raise money for autism and the Reggie Sanders Foundation (he's a retired major league baseball player). Until then I will continue to lead my senior citizen slacker lifestyle.
