Re: Atlantic City?
I think I may do this instead of Jones Beach , I won't have to use any Vacation days .

So, whats the deal with the delayed tickets (not available until 8/1)? Is it to combat scalping or?

Not being from the area or know the area , where are some decent and reasonable places to stay near there, Obviously there will be no tailgating , but i'm sure Margaritaville will be doing something , and there is always the Bikini Bar which was a pretty cool , but expensive placesistergoldenhair wrote:Awesome! Re: Who's going to Atlantic City August 13
Does anyone know the rules for the beach show, i.e. chairs allowed, blankets allowed, food & beverages sold or allowed to be brought, time the beach is opened and where, if so, are the rules published.
Thanks
Thanks

I stay at the Taj which is the casino next to Resorts the home of margaritaville. I get free rooms there. However, your best bet is to stay at one of the boardwalk hotels. Ballys, Tropicana,Caesars, resorts or taj. Tropicana is the nicest out of those but also at the very end on the other side. The stage is at Caesars which is in the middle of the boardwalk. If you want to stay away from the madness then your best bet is haraahs, the borgota or the golden nugget on the marina. The borgota and haraahs are very very nice but away from everything. However. They also offer their own attractions ...I like the boardwalk cause you can just walk to everything. The Tropicana has like over 10 bars in it.You can also take a $3 jitney anywhere in the city. They run every 20 minutes or so. Hope this helps

We usually stay at Resorts, which is where Margaritaville is, but rates are very high for that date. We usually go midweek for the really good rates. We are staying at the Marriot (courtyard, I think) which is on the street side about one block away from Resorts. (Atlantic Avenue, maybe?) Better rate for that weekend.TommyBahama wrote:Not being from the area or know the area , where are some decent and reasonable places to stay near there, Obviously there will be no tailgating , but i'm sure Margaritaville will be doing something , and there is always the Bikini Bar which was a pretty cool , but expensive placesistergoldenhair wrote:Awesome! 2 questions for anyone that may know: (1) is the VIP package worth it? Will I have a good stage view? (2) what time would you expect Jimmy to come on given the concert starts at 4? Thanks all!
