I am complaining, but it could be so much worse. At least, we aren't flooding and hope we won't.
I hate it for all those people that have flooded too many times this year. They don't have time to dry out before it floods again.
And a lot can't afford to move....

I feel your pain.

We are battening down as I write.

The weather glass is falling, the wind picking up. It is clear the drought is broken.

Pretty much the entire eastern seaboard of Oz is under severe weather warnings for damaging winds and heavy rain.

It seems a thing they call an "East Coast Low" is forming to the north of here and will push south past us over the next day or two. Apparently, if this low pressure trough formed a few hundred miles further north it would be called a tropical low or cyclone. Although the winds aren't forecast to be cyclonic (hurricane) strength.

A weekend for indoor pursuits I suppose.

I'm back from my 2nd test subject for the "Standard Field Sobriety Training" session. Which pretty much means I got paid to drink and then be tested by our local local enforcement in training folks under the county DUI Enforcement Program.

I love to drink margaritas from 8:30-12:30 and then "walk this line, heel to toe", "hold that leg up while counting 1001, 1002", and "follow the tip of this pen with your eyes without moving your head".

I lost -- all 11 pair of police officers said they would give me a free pair of bracelets and haul me away in the back of their "limo".

While it sounds fun, why on earth don't they use breath analysis?

Not subjective and takes the bias of the LEO out of the equation. You either blow a positive , or not.

(Plus it is cheaper and is more effective at removing repeat offenders from the roads).
