Good morning. I was thinking of going online and buying a ticket to tonight's Pelicans game, then I checked the weather. It's already 88 degrees with a heat index of 95, there's a heat advisory for today, the heat index could go as high as 107 and there's a 50% chance of thunderstorms with heavy rain. :o I think I'll stay home.

Good Morning Folks!

Beautiful day here in our part of PA. Warm but a nice breeze going and there's hardly any humidity! I can live with this. Heading out to the "future in-laws" for a picnic to meet the rest of our daughter's soon to be other side of the family.

Afternoon BN. Sitting by the beach in the Breighton Beach neighborhood. Russian is the dominant secondary language. And in the flight path of JFK airport.

Aloha and Happy Sunday Funday! Preparing a few dishes before I punch out on the time clock and head out to the back yard for a boat drink, a float, some corn hole, and family fellowship. Oh yeah, and since it IS Jersey, some chicken parm. Have a great day!

91 degrees, heat index 102. I think I'll crack open a beer, turn on the MLB Network and watch the Mets beat the Cubs again.

Syndergaard is pitching for the Mets. Some guy I never heard of is pitching for the Cubs because the Mets knocked Jon Lester out in the 2nd inning. It's 11-1 Mets in the top of the 6th. [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

Evening, peeps.

Third time docking the boat for the Limes. Yours truly was supposed to gracefully leap off the boat and grab the first tie line. However, I jumped from the wrong part of the deck and did a cartoony split from the boat to the dock :o in front of the lunch crowd at the restaurant there and, of course, the experienced boaters. Managed NOT to land in the drink though so walked out of there with my head held high.

It is now wine-thirty. 8)

Good evening ladies and gents. For the first time since I moved here, one of the local TV stations has decided to broadcast some Pelicans games, but only Sunday home games in the second half of the season. I don't know what's wrong with the audio feed from the ballpark but I have to turn the volume way up to hear it, then mute the sound during commercials so my eardrums don't get blown out.

OMG BE CAREFUL! I landed myself in the emergency room docking our boat when the kids were little. We were pulling up to a floating dock, I jumped off the boat onto the dock. As I was jogging along, focused on not screwing up, I forgot to pay attention to my feet. My leg went in between the sections of dock, up to my thigh! I had to be carried off the dock and brought to the hospital where they thought I might have broken my femur. Thank God it was just a very deep bruise. I still have a dent in my left leg to remember what a klutz I am!

Ouch! No injuries for me, except my bruised dignity.
