Booklovers' Tues @ the MSC
Good Morning! Aug 9 is National Booklovers' Day so grab & book and relax.
Observed each year on August 9, (and sometimes on the first Saturday in November) bibliophiles get to celebrate on National Book Lovers Day! A day for all those who love to read, National Book Lovers Day encourages you to find your favorite reading place, a good book (whether it be fiction or non-fiction) and read the day away.

Good morning. The weather forecast got slightly better - 40% chance of rain instead of 60% - but I'm going to wait until this afternoon to decide if I want to go to tonight's Pelicans game. The team they're playing tonight is the only team in the league I haven't seen this year.

Afternoon BN. Booklovers' day? Doesn't feel any different at work today. But if anyone wants to drop by and leave some goodies, I'm all for it.

Re: Booklovers' Tues @ the MSC
I was looking at a minor league baseball website earlier and I saw something that made me chuckle. There's a team in Albuquerque, NM. Albuquerque is also the home of the TV shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The team is auctioning off special jerseys to raise money for the New Mexico Autism Society. The jerseys will be autographed not by the players who wear them in the game but by the actor who plays Saul Goodman.

Re: Booklovers' Tues @ the MSC
Ahoy! I saw all types of birds on the river today, a heron, hawk, geese and a new signet with the local swans. One pool had a mallard hen with ducklings that attacked twice. Enough boaters feed them that they swam around my boat twice. I watched a mink on shore for awhile. These animals were within a few miles of an oil refinery.Oil is a very clean industry.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

It's a little warm at the ballpark but there's a nice breeze. Maybe it'll be more comfortable by game time.

Re: Booklovers' Tues @ the MSC
It's $2 craft beer night sponsored by American Tap House. The first 200 people through the gate got a free koozie - American Tap House logo on one side, Pelicans logo on the other side. There was a long line at the gate so I walked down to the will call window thinking the line there would be shorter. Now I have 2 American Tap House/Pelicans koozies (one red and one blue), I went to a $2 craft beer night a couple of weeks ago and they gave out koozies at that game too. Like beer glasses and coffee mugs, you can never have enough koozies.
