Nan and Bill! My hula skirt got quite a work out in AC last weekend. so i will have to take it to the dry cleaners so it will be presentable in Pittsburgh next week! I know that Bill is probably painting and packing today; Nan, what are you up to? Have a great day!

We are thinking about a return trip to GW, if the dates work out for us. It is so hard to plan with the way that they release the dates so sporadically. For instance, we have Pittsburgh and Jones Beach both next week, which means we drive the 6 hours to Pitt on Monday, enjoy our time with our PA friends Monday and Tuesday, drive another 7 or so hours to Jones Beach on Wednesday, tailgate and concert on Thursday, then drive about 2 1/2 hours home on Friday. Then on Sunday we drive about an hour and a half to take Little Goldenhair to university. (Baby leaving nest, last one

I must confess, I could use some rest. I can't run at this pace very long.

I went to Hooters in North Myrtle Beach for lunch today, I hadn't been to that one in a couple of months. My waitress had an interesting accent so I asked her about it. She's from Croatia and she was absolutely stunning, one of the prettiest women I've ever seen. It wasn't busy so she sat at my table to chat for about 10 minutes, she speaks better English than a lot of Americans. She said she was here on some kind of program Croatia has for students - work for 3 months, travel for a month, then back home to Croatia. She's leaving next month for San Diego, Las Vegas, Chicago (where she said she was going to see her aunt for the first time in her life) and New York before going home. I might have to go back before the end of the month to see if I can get her as my waitress again.

That's a GREAT story, Larry!!

And she's getting to see some amazing cities!!
My pondering today is this statement from the office today.

There was a meeting request, and this was the reason put in the body of it: "Placeholder for delivery of the ask from Steve with how the team plans to move forward".

Now that sounds interesting, I'd attend that one just to see what it was about.

Almost evening BNers
Another overcast day with a few raindrops here and there.
Bought some groceries. Went for a few things....ended up with a cart full.
Not sure what we are having for dinner

I'm not a fan of blueberry muffins, or anything blueberry. If they were lemon poppy seed or orange cranberry muffins, then we could talk.

Mmm....cranberry muffins. Orange cranberry? Not so much.
I'm just curious to know what made the waitress choose to work at Hooters.

I'm not a blueberry fan either. Guess I didn't grow up eating them.
Now cherry, is another story

I forget how many she said were in the group but they're all working as waitresses. She said there was another one at Hooters, a couple at Red Lobster and the rest at other restaurants in the area. Maybe they thought summer in a beach town, waitress jobs would be easy to get.
