I have to say I am a little disappointed with his choice of tracks. This is just mostly the generic songs you find on 500 assorted CD's in Walmart. I was hoping for more of his own music or at least more island/tropical themed songs. Yes Mele Kalikimaka is that theme but he had that song on his previous Christmas Island album. I think I'll pass on this one. I was really looking forward to this too.

I like choices...

Sometimes original xmas songs are awful. Nice to hear some classics.

Cant wait !

It can't be as good as Twisted Sister's heavy metal version.

I disagree. I think if Jimmy made his own original Christmas songs they would be epic, not awful. I do agree that Christmas classics are nice to hear. If that's what I want to listen to, I'll just turn on the radio.

I just can't get excited about this album. Jimmy's already done a Christmas album, and it's ok. We did buy the Coral Reefer Christmas album a few years ago as well. I just don't know if I need another Buffett Christmas album.

It's like him doing another live album of all the yellow CD songs. We all have multiple versions of them, plus the downloads of the shows we've been too.

I'm not a big fan of Christmas music to begin with and that track list doesn't get me all moist in anticipation of the release of the new CD. I think I'll pass.

I could see downloading the 12 days of Christmas if it tickles the funny bone.

Fan of the McKenzie Brothers from the Great White North version & the Twelve Pains of Christmas by Bob Rivers.

This is going to be a great addition to our Xmas playlist for our "Christmas in Margaritaville" party this year. Of course, in the new and heated Margaritaville garage!

Or Bob and Doug McKenzie's "Twelve Days of Christmas", off their "Great White North" album from 35 years ago.

I really had to think for a few minutes what the hell "the yellow CD songs" was about because the (vinyl) album's actual cover is...

Image

The CD album has the yellow cover. Which is very strange.

The Vinyl LP version of Songs You Know By Heart was released with cover photo only the original CD has the yellow cover

There is also a Gold CD release that uses the photo from the Vinyl LP release as its cover

Went looking for the CD yesterday. It was not in Best Buy, Target or Barnes & Noble (saw T, TH, S on vinyl). I refuse to go to Walmart.

Thank Jeff Bezos I can get it online.
