2016 Ravens

Post by johnson2113 »

Sharks, baseball season is done!!!!

We are down to the last 2 games of the Ravens season.

Not quoting Buffett, but another song I heard on the road this morning. "Where do we go, where do we go"

Everything leading up to this is irrelevant. Not irredeemable, just irrelevant. :pirate:

I've got Billy Ray's Bloody Mary recipe chilling in the fridge, going to dress it up a little with a few of my own ingredients. Green onions, jalapeno olives and some pickle juice.

BECAUSE tomorrow, we have the biggest game of the season!!!! It's a rematch against the undefeated powerhouse of the 3rd grade league.

Bub, the beast, the best DEFENSIVE END, in the league didn't play last time. We're locked and loaded. A tailgate and a pep rally before the game!!!! I'm so pumped. We are taking this to the level that I want to see everything taken. We are going to make it an event and have a lot of fun!!!! Even if we don't win, the effort will be added!

So last week I missed them putting a smack down on the team they played and this was Pumpkin Gone Wild! Not worth missing, not worth not missing!

We had one of our chain gang members kicked off and we are never, ever the bad guys. (No actual bias)

Two weeks ago.

Monkey showing them all how it is done. (She is so bloody buff!)

Baseball season is over, football season is over, basketball starts tomorrow.

They have two basketball teams. I said I wouldn't go to every game, we will see on that.

Last game of the season we played a team that was a good team in the past. They scored one touchdown this season. They have some really great coaches I felt bad for them and the team. And the reason for that goes to the team that played on the field before them. They have been bad since the first time we played, the team has, but the coaches and the sidelines have been the worst.

I mean, my mom, has been a bit of a passionate fan in the past. She may have told coaches I was up against that my dad would escort them off the field and he actually had to do it. She has been very vocal and my sister has been a little more vocal than her. In fairness to them both, there has been some bad calls and even worse missed calls. I'll get back to that in a second.

So this game before the Ravens, we are walking into the facility. I see Kelb, walk up to the fence, focusing intensely, on the game on the field. I go to see what is happening. All these field are K-8th grade football games. This bad team, is up against the best team. A mom for the bad team is on the field screaming at the coaches, screaming at the officials, screaming at the players. This is a first class facility and they are very fast to react to injuries and "sportsmanship calls". There are at least 5 golf carts on this field. It was a sight.

So the top team in the league, the coaches son was keeping score for all of the teams in our league... and he was scouting the teams. It goes against the rules that all the teams have to follow. It is a bad deal. It is an unfortunate deal. It's a shame they allowed this to happen.

Now, the officiating it was poor this game. A dirty play was made against one of our players and nothing was called. My sister was on the field checking on Bub and when she saw that she may have screamed at the official. "How did you miss that, you are as tall as me?!" Fun was had by all though and it was a good season. Even when they put two guys on Bub they can't contain him. Kelb's defense held four teams to shutouts and only had one game that gave up more than two touchdowns.
