Fins Up at Wrigley

Need some input from you fine folks. We have gone to Riverbend the past 10 or so years to catch Jimmy. We have discussed taking in the Wrigley show. Pulling off both would be tight on the budget. Should we forego Riverbend and head up to Wrigley? One negative would be we have taken in the show at Riverbend with my wife's parents every year and I doubt they could make the trip up. Thanks for any input ahead of time and Fins Up!

Change is good for a Chicago show! I love that it is a change of venue, but I wonder about the tailgating. How/where will this go down? Last few years have been shortened due to Tinley policy, but now there isn't even a designated area. Thoughts?

There really won't be much tailgating (think Vegas wihout the pool party) but there are a ton of bars surrounding Wrigley waiting to serve you overpriced beers and watered-down mixed drinks. That's pretty much going to be your pre-show options.

I think it could be fun to rent a house and throw an old school college "house party"

Anyone have any info on pre-sale tickets?

Planning a 40th birthday party trip now. Amazing how fast time went by since my first show at Jones Beach-Domini Collge 94? Even more amazing is that wife is all for me going nowadays.

When he played Wrigley in '05, there wasn't a pre-sale. If I remember correctly, the tickets were sold through the Cubs ticketing system, not TM or Live Nation.

Hmmm. I regretted not going last time because it seemed like once in a lifetime. This will probably be the last time he plays there... hmmmm gonna be expensive. I wonder if mville tv is going to broadcast this?!
