Looks like the old man is going to get it done for at least one more year and I, for one, am eternally grateful.

So lets raise our fins up for 2017 and not take it for granted. Thank you Jimmy and much love for everyone who has partied with me for all these years. I look forward to atleast one more fun summer with ya'all.

Lets just take a minute to acknowledge that the Man is 70, worth close to a billion dollars, and is still going to come to your crappy little venue so we can get drunk and laid with strangers this summer. I still love it. Wouldn't miss it. Not for all the tequilla at the Chicken Box. Speaking of which . . . off to bring in the New Year with those Nantucket bums who hang out year round.

That would be awesome but I don't see that happening. He has been touring for over 40 years and really has nothing to prove and seems to be focusing on other projects. What would Ben more realistic and doable is a "live" acoustic show via Margaritaville TV. I always thought it would be cool if he did a virtual show on the beach and just sang only gems and told stories. He could even tape it and play it!

I think all of us would love that but I agree with FINSUP6835, it probably won't happen. At age 70, he may still be a great entertainer but his skills are definitely diminishing. In the past few years he has been getting the words in his songs mixed up, playing songs in the wrong order, stopped playing the guitar to catch back up with the band, fewer tour dates because it's harder on his body etc. A solo tour would be very hard on him at his age. He needs his band to keep him going and to cover some errors up. Now if he did just a date or 2 per month in a small venue by himself, that would definitely be doable. I still think he is one of the best entertainers around and hope to see him again this year. Let's thank Jimmy for EVERY single concert he does this year and cherish it. We are very fortunate he is still willing to perform at age 70!

I think he could do it, but it would feature his acoustic ballads. It'd be a very different show and I think it could definitely happen. He's done these types of shows in hotel lobbies!
