We had a big tarp, and my buddy and I held it up to keep the rain off our our wives and kiddos. Luckily it quit raining just before the show started. I was already soaking wet, so I took my shoes off and went muddy barefoot all night. It was kind of fun, actually.

It was fun! We were pretty muddy and some of us "may" have showered in a fountain before the ride home. Not me of course...

I've got my fingers crossed. Last year was my first year to make the trek down to Houston, and although it was a mud bath, it was a really great space. Maybe my second-favorite outdoor concert venue.

Here's hoping for a rain-free show! The concrete sloped floor under the canopy was pretty slippery.

With the Vegas show in April (instead of October), I'm wondering if Jimmy is switching up the usual schedule this year. I don't want to have to wait for my Jimmycation until October when the musical comes to town. I'm hoping we get our usual May/June date. The pending Dallas date gives me hope that the Woodlands will get squeezed in for a May/June show.

I would also LOVE to see the return of Margaritaville TV to where they are showing almost every concert. Having so few shows broadcast last year was a huge disappointment. I feel like I got addicted the year before, and then my Coral Reefer(s) "supply" dried-up last year. Does anybody else miss seeing all the live broadcasts?

The Wrigley concert is part of the I don't know tour, that doesn't bode well for other concerts this year. No new concert tour name.

I have a bad feeling that Houston is going to left out of this year's abridged tour.

Keep in mind that Escape to Margaritaville is coming to Houston in October of 2017 (one of only four cities to debut the musical). http://www.thehobbycenter.org/?q=node/1886

JB is a smart business man. He is going to want to generate some buzz for that show. What better way to do that than a Houston show?

October would actually be a great time for a show at CWMP! [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]

If it comes down to October vs. no 2017 show in Houston, then I'm good with October... [smilie=ebiltongue.gif]

The weather would be great in October. He once played at CWMP in late September in 1994 for the Fruitcakes Tour. I was in college then. That was a fun show!

I just confirmed with the CWMP that kids under 5 do not need a ticket on the lawn with a paying adult.

Just FYI.

Looking for answers to questions that bothered him so.

1) Why is ZZ Top (a band formed in Houston) opening for JB in Dallas and not in Houston?

2) Why do I have to wait until 3pm to check into my Woodlands hotel?

3) Ticketmaster says there is a presale going on right now. Does anyone know about that?

Good luck to everyone tomorrow at 10:00am.

I do not. Generally when there is a pre-sale, we get the codes here. I was under the assumption that there was not a pre-sale this year, as there wasn't one last year either.

Anyone else know about pre-sale codes for today?

1. He doesn't have an opening act at every show.
2. Check in time at just about every hotel I've ever stayed at is 3pm, sometimes 4pm.
3. It says it's a Citi Card member presale so I guess you have to have a credit card with Citi Bank.

I really don't want him to have an opening act, but ZZ Top might be fun. I thought those guys still lived in Houston, so it just seemed strange to me. Maybe I need to get a Citi card. I have about as much luck with Ticketmaster (getting the seats I actually want) as I do slot machines.
