Well, my guess is Fenway. :( just got an email from the Sox that May 2nd is Margaritaville Night and they're giving away t-shirts to ticket holders that night. Ugh.... what a bummer.

Fenway and on a Tuesday? No thanks.

ETA: Red Sox are playing on 5/2, not Jimmy. But you are thinking because they are doing a Margaritaville theme night that is where Jimmy will play this year?

Sorry for not being clear. I just meant that the Sox having a Margaritaville Night is a sign that Buffett is doing Fenway. Yes, the Sox are playing home May 2nd, but it's one of their promo nights. Why would they have a Margaritaville Night if there isn't going to be a Buffett show later that year? It'll def be a summer concert, june/july/aug. I'm so bummed about a Fenway show though. I'll still go, but to say that i'm disappointed is an understatement.

Saturday, August 12 @ Fenway could be interesting. James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt are playing Fenway on August 11. Would be nice to see one, or both, of them slide out on Stage with Jimmy. Neither have dates booked beyond August 11.

Jimmy and James Taylor are already playing Wrigley 2 days a part in July.

Just a thought.

If it's Fenway.......we're out too.

Fenway was on the table a few years ago and it ended up being GW. Hope that's the case this year, too.

The Cardinals have had Margaritaville night the last few years , not sure if Jimmy played St Louis in the last few years. It seems , more and more teams are doing it now.

FWIW last year the Cardinals also had Margaritaville night and gave away free t-shirts and he didn't play at Busch Stadium so that doesn't necessary mean this is a connection to a pre-concert promo.

And I am a Red Sox season ticket holder and as of now I have not received any emails about a Margaritaville night promotion and it is not listed on the Red Sox website or the season ticket portal as a promotion. I'm not saying it isn't true but it hasn't been posted anywhere.

Unless someone hands me a free ticket I would be out for Fenway. Been there, done that, was on the big screen all night, got the t-shirt, and Jimmy's sandal . . . was a great day . . . yes I still believe that Jimmy still has something to do with breaking the Curse of the Bambino . . . yes, I am eternally grateful for that . . . but my preference at this point is a $30 - $40 lawn ticket that buys me roughly 9 hours of tailgating in the land of Great Woods. Not going to sit around a bar all day in the summer unless its on a sand dune on the Cape.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

I'm not sure if I'd go see him at Fenway either. I went to both shows in 2004 and it was fun but it was also enough to know I don't think I'd do it again. The tickets are way too expensive, acoustics are not good, no tailgating, all day parking is a b****, and hanging at a bar faux tailgating stuck in one spot got old after a few hours. Plus I'm not so sure he'd even sell out Fenway Park which makes him even considering playing there odd. It is 36,000K seats, almost double Great Woods and he struggles to sell out that venue. And lets face it most people go to Great Woods for the tailgating, the concert is secondary.

If I got cheap tickets and the date of the show was open for me I might consider it but more than likely if I ever see Jimmy in the Fenway area it will be inside the House of Blues again!
