Who's going to Frisco June 10, 2017?

Ok, so I have not been to the Frisco show before. How bad is the parking situation. The website for the stadium makes it sound difficult to get a spot

They have a lot of parking but I would get there early Saturday morning. There use to be a huge grass lot to the east of the stadium that held a lot of parking...but they are building on it, so it is likely to be very crowded this year.

Does anyone have any info about tailgating with an RV? The website says you have to buy 6 or 8 spots per RV. Last year I could have sworn you could get a RV in with just 4 spots. It also says no extra. So if you are one car you can't buy two spaces. Isn't all this different than years past? I e-mailed the head of parking and the response was "you can do the same as you did last year". That was his answer to both my e-mails. We have three RVs one is a little pop up. It doesn't seem fair that a pop up has to pay the same as a 45' motorhome.

We are coming down from Seattle to see our first 'real' tailgate experience. Northwest shows just don't pull it off like you can in Texas. We are also bringing along our 4yo twins for their first concert ever (everyones first concert should be Jimmy, right?).
Questions: How early is early for getting parking on Saturday?
I know Lone Star Parrothead Club will have porta a pottys available for a donation, do other clubs/groups do things for donations?
Since we'll need to spend all day near the stadium, does anyone know of kid friendly things to do nearby when we need a break from the tailgating?

They did make a change from 4 to 6 spots for an RV this year. Last year we were able to reserve 4 spots in the gold lot but this year they made us purchase 6 (and we have a U-Haul and 2 cars) ...they said that the RV's were not fitting into the 4 spots; who knows. As far as extra spaces they are trying to avoid someone buying multiple spots just to set up for their party...they want one car per spot. With all that said, I'm not sure how strong that will be enforced.

Get there by 7am Saturday if you want to get a good spot. However, realize that many folks begin tailgating Friday morning, so many of the spots can be gone before Saturday even begins!

They are forcing RVs (no matter the size) to pay $600 for 6 spots. That's going to be a lot of wasted money and space. Funny how the first line of the rules states you can't buy extra spaces. I only need to for mine but they are forcing me to get 6. Plus the lot is going to sell out faster with empty spaces.

If you speak to the parking director, Greg Howell, he will just lie and tell you it's okay to buy 4. Total BS according to other people that work at the stadium. I have a e mail from him saying our three trailers can buy 12 spaces. I am thinking they realized all the points you mentioned and changed their mind after the pre-sell of the VIP lots. We will have to do some Plan B if they make us buy 18 spots.

That's why we aren't bringing our little trailer. It was more cost effective to get a room at the Hampton Fieldhouse, even with the jacked rates. I miss the old days when the prices were more reasonable and golf carts were allowed.

I am getting excited. We are bringing the trailer in Monday to start loading it. We have two bands set up to play and expect a big crowd at our spot again this year.
We will be in the Blue North lot. We will be the ones playing Country music (Friday) and serving real moonshine.
