A pretty good article but as usual the press gets it wrong again. There are a few errors in this piece. Enough to prompt me to send an e-mail to the editor:
"Dear Sir/Madam:
Just thought I let you know of some inconsistencies in Mark Seal's article on Jimmy Buffett that appear to be from poor research or fact checking.
In the first paragraph Mark mentions that Jimmy flies the Albatross. The Albatross is a make of seaplane from Grumman, not the name of the plane which actually is "Hemisphere Dancer."
In the last paragraph on cheesburgers it mentions that Jimmy "sailed into Roatan..." Roatan is an island off the coast of Honduras. Jimmy sailed into Road Town, the capitol of the British Virgin Islands (and on the opposite side of the caribean from Honduras). I've been to Village Cay Marina many times and can attest to the allure of their cheesburgers.
All in all a good article, but a little sloppy in its execution. As editor I thought you would like to know."
I know if I was the writer I would not want my work to be this sloppy.
