If you're getting there around Noon, the two tailgating lots will be full by that point. Your best bet is to park across the street at Riverbend or Coney Island and just walk over to one of the tailgating lots. Be mobile. Riverbend lot MAY let you drink around your car if it's in a cup but I highly doubt they'll tolerate any canopies and stuff.

Thank you all for the information. Definitely hoping to meet some of you. Will see if I can locate some of you when we get there. I had enough points for a free motel room (unfortunately staying about 12 miles away) at the "SpringHill Suites Cincinatti north/forest park". Since we are driving in, we are going to head to the areas and try to tailgate if we can. Will do a late check in so I don't have to worry with the motel until after the show. Anyone staying there by chance ? BTW this is Sandra23. I had so many login issues I gave up and re-registered. Apparently I managed to block myself as "spam"...I was even sober when I made my first little post ....thank you all for the warm welcome. I promise to remember my password this time...ugh!
Daughter, SIL and grandkeets are arriving in a couple of hours for a few days from Rochester, NY. Haven't seen them since Easter, so we are very excited! Plus they will get to meet our rescue pups! Got goodies baked for them and the Margarita Cookie Dough chillin in the fridge for the tailgate! It's gonna be a phun but busy week that ends with phun with my BN phriends in Cincy!!!

I'm not sure if Riverbend specifically has a policy that prohibits leaving vehicles overnight but if you're worried I'd just park at the Casino next door as I'm nearly positive they are open 24/7.

Ah, hadn't thought about that. Website says they are indeed 24 hr/day though.

Its me again . I hope everyone's holiday was a hit. Now its almost Cincy time! So we decided to book Friday along with our Sat in Best Western Clermont ... the pool sold me on it. Anyone else staying?
By the way, for those wondering, Riverbend confirmed to me that vehicles can be left in their lots for up to 24 hours after the show. That includes the tailgating lot.

Hi all. I'm brand new here. I'm a 30something female who is headed to the concert on Saturday with a fun group of 11 For the first time we will be taking a party bus down and so I could use a few pointers on how to "pre-game". We are planning on bringing throw away coolers etc since we will not have a home base since the bus isn't going to stay with us during the concert. From past experience tailgaters have been extremely friendly, but is walking around visiting a viable option or should we just sadly sit tailgating out this year. We certainly don't want to be "party crashers" but the thought of missing out on all of the pre party makes me on sad lady

The grass field/lot is pretty big. Maybe you could set up a temporary "camp" towards the trees on the side and periodically make your rounds walking around and meeting people?
I know this.. I've been to a lot of JB shows. Of those, probably 8-10 were solo. I have ALWAYS met people who welcomed me in to their crew like I was one of their own and made some pretty damn good friendships out of it.
Yes very true, there were many times when it was just my wife and I tailgating (in many different city venues) and our neighboring tailgating Parrotheads to the side of us merged into us as one big party. We share resources, grills, food, booze, music etc.. This year it will be my wife, bro n law and me. I cant wait to meet our new Saturday Parrothead friends. Fins Ups!
