By the way, for those wondering, Riverbend confirmed to me that vehicles can be left in their lots for up to 24 hours after the show. That includes the tailgating lot.

Heading to Cinci to celebrate my milestone bday with Jimmy! Been to several shows at Buckeye Lake back in the day (even the Mudfest and the Volcano Fire). Coming w hubby and a couple of friends so a smaller group than in the Buckeye Lake days.
First time to Riverbend...any suggestions?

Its me again . I hope everyone's holiday was a hit. Now its almost Cincy time! So we decided to book Friday along with our Sat in Best Western Clermont ... the pool sold me on it. Anyone else staying?

We're stating there. We'll be there Friday afternoon before taking off for the Parrot Heads party that evening.

We will also be at the Clermont! Arriving Phriday as well! phins up!!!

Its me again . I hope everyone's holiday was a hit. Now its almost Cincy time! So we decided to book Friday along with our Sat in Best Western Clermont ... the pool sold me on it. Anyone else staying?

Hopefully Riverbend tailgating lots are not getting as much rain today as we are in Dayton area. Tailgating will be a muddy mess! But having phun no matter what!

Just convinced the family to road trip on Saturday. Wondering if tickets open up on the day of/day before or if I should pull the trigger sooner rather than later? A ton of really good lower level seats opened for the St. Louis show within 12 hours of the show. I could have had front row an hour before the show. I don't think that is typical, but wondering if any of you have waited until the last minute and scored great seats or if that just does not happen at this venue?

Also wondering if even canopies are allowed in the other lots. We are coming with an 11 year old so I'd hardly say we will be doing much tailgating as defined by Parrotheads. But it would be nice to have some shade for a pre-show picnic. We will probably arrive around 2:00 or so.

The past couple of years I've gotten my seat the afternoon of the show while I was tailgating. They ended up releasing extras. HOWEVER, I only needed a single ticket and the closest I was probably able to get was 10-12 rows back. Being a Saturday show and highly in demand(lawns on resale sites are still around $90 minimum) plus you needing multiples, I'd highly doubt you'll be able to score anything close. Never know though.

As far as canopies, I would lean no on that. Riverbend is really strict when it comes to their non-tailgating lots. But hell, bring it and put it up. The worst they can do is ask you to take it down. Rinse and repeat.

Last year I stayed parked in the tailgating lot overnight and slept in my van.
Plenty of other vehicles were there when I woke up in the morning, and at
first light several scrappers arrived and did pretty good!
Riverbend had the most organized tailgate scalpers I'd ever seen.
I bought my ticket from one of the team of locals that pretty much control the market.
They roam around the area and work with each other.
Saw them in action early in the morning and the price never changed.
I never found an actual Parrothead with an extra to sell, the local team snaps those up early and then adds their own profit on to the price they paid.
My plan for tomorrow is the same as last year, arrive at the lot very early in the morning, purchase from a scalper, and stay overnight.
If any of you have an extra lawn for sale let me know!
I'd rather spend the additional scalper surcharge on beer or......?????!
Or pay YOU above asking so YOU can purchase more "supplies"

Hi Steve, you are very welcome to join our party. We plan on being in the grass lot early in the am. It is me, my wife and bro n law. In our 30s. We are from Cleveland area. We have others joining us at sometime too, but more the merrier! After all we are all Parrothead family! We love meeting new people at JB shows! Food and beer is good to bring.. but save your $ for the show etc. We will have a tan type of canopy, tables, some chairs, red and a green cooler. I will be wearing my blue Landshark hat. Silver Chevy Equinox.

Not that I've ever seen. I was told once that an ice truck sometimes comes around in the afternoon, but I've never seen one. We've learned to bring plenty!
