DTE Detroit sow sold out before the presale!

The pine knob show official presale started at 10am. The show was already sold out.

My wife managed two tickets. I get shutout.

The official onsale is not till tomorrow!!

There was a American Express presale this weekend .


I have never heard of a show ring sold out before the venues presale.

The scalpers win again.

This is why I didnt want the show going back to pine knob, I knew the scalpers would come back out of the woods, they were in hiding when it was downtown because they couldn't make money.

I punched in right at 10:00 am. After watching the little circle spin around waiting for a few minutes it said no tix available. I hit refresh......maybe 8-9 times and got a pair in Row LL. After carefully deciding if I REALLY wanted to spend the $339 or whatever for the pair...I hit purchase. Put in the 3 digit CC code & moved past the "if you hit enter your CC will be charged" screen. Next screen was the "terms" page. And my screen never moved from that page after that. Didn't know if I had tix or not. Just checked my T*Master account a few minutes ago and it does not show a Buffett order....so I guess I got nuttin'.
There are lawns available RIGHT NOW as we speak though for those interested.

Will hit rewind tomorrow Morn I guess.

Actually I got 2 different single seats in BOTH pre-sales (So I have one to sell) LTC row TT seat 11. Searching around I realized that you an buy Season Tickets for DTE. This is how most of the scalpers get the seats. My wife will try tomorrow for an even better seat. We will see what happens. And not all seats are released in a pre-sale.

Not all the seats are sold in the presale but The majority are,. This time the presale was pretty much sold out already.

I know how DTE does things. They will have a tiny 1% left to sell so that they don't break any laws. 95% were already sold to scalpers called season ticket holders and in the first presale.

Everyone back in the day (80 and 90's) thought Jimmy was selling out in minutes as they stood sad at the Ticketmaster outlets. As the years and times and ways to buy tickets changed the real reasons came out. Even with computers and phones it's nearly impossible to sell out pine knob in under two minutes if all tickets are available.


They reason it happens is because maybe a 1000 tickets are up for grabs and that's a high number.

Small shows mean big money to scalpers. I hate the acoustics for stadium and other large outdoor shows but the ticket system is usually alot more fair and that's why u don't see these fake sell ours. Just look on eBay and stuhub and the palaces ow. Reselling sites right now.

I almost forgot, but glanced at my clock at 10:02 today... had no wait time and bought 2 lawns with no issues. I was very surprised.

12:15 & plenty of seats left. I think the cost plus a Tuesday night is gonna make this show not the slam dunk hot seller it has been in the past. Detroit has been spoiled with Saturday shows the last few years so I think phans are being a bit cautious in the early stages of this sale.

Just to be safe, I would verify with your CC holder that the tix were not charged if the purchase did not work.
