Good morning Bill, and anyone else who may sneak in while I'm typing. We had a lot of rain overnight, some thunder and lightning too, but it's beautiful out today. It's a little cooler too, hasn't made it to 70 yet. As soon as the coffee pot's empty I have to take a ride to the ballpark and do a little negotiating at the Pelicans box office.

What are you negotiating, Larry?

The Pelicans are part of the Chicago Cubs organization. Next month one of the promotions they're doing is called Cubs-a-Palooza, it's June 23-25. On the 23rd, Andre Dawson, former Cubs outfielder and member of the Hall of Fame, is going to be there. Bill Buckner, another former Cubs player, is going to be there on the 24th. Nobody special, at least so far, is scheduled to be there the 25th. They're selling a 3 game package that includes early entry on Friday and Saturday for Q&A sessions with Dawson and Buckner, autographed pictures of both of them and a food voucher for each of the 3 games. I already have a ticket to the Friday game. I want to see if I can exchange that ticket for a ticket to another game if I buy the 3 game package.

Mission accomplished. The game I exchanged my ticket for is Strike Out Cancer Night, they usually have silent auctions for a bunch of sports memorabilia so I'll have my credit cards ready. Two years ago the team wore special jerseys and they were auctioned off for charity. Last year they wore their regular uniforms, maybe they'll go back to special jerseys this year.

Time to take Kevin to the basement and practice our dance moves -- there will be no middle school sway dancing at this wedding !
