I, too, was wondering if anyone knew of any pre-concert activities in Raleigh. Or if anyone could suggest which hotel to stay at.

We are staying at the Best Western Executive suites in Garner, NC (A Raleigh burb) about 2 miles from the venue. Very reasonable and it looks nice.

How accomodating is Raleigh/Alltel for Parrothead tailgating? Any hassles on drinking, cooking, and other festivities? How about portajohns? Website says gates open at 3; does this mean 5 miles of traffic at 2:30 or might they open a little earlier?

gotta be prepared for these things....don't want to miss one minute!! ONE WEEK TO GO!

BTW, who's going to Raleigh? I'll be looking for BN'ers.

There is officially no drinking in the lots...but they really dont enforce for Buffett shows. I've never heard of anyone getting hassled for grills and such at Alltel, but if you're Joe Phan drunk off your ass pouring gasoline onto a hot grill you might have a problem.

Traffic should'nt be too bad if you're there at 2:30...it wont get really busy till 4 and on.

Hey...keep an eye out for a guy wearing a huge CHEESEBURGER, If you do...come say hi and get a pic.

So where will you (comininloaded ) be parked with your famous gumbo, and how will we recognize you?? We love gumbo, and definately want to socialize with other Parrotheads.
